For release this year? There's no way MS or Bungie could have kept that under wraps this long. It's probably just going to be a repackaged Halo 3 with a few extras.
If it does end up being something more, that would be quite a coup for MS at E3.
Bring it on.
Okay. How about every other game they ever made that wasn't Assassin's creed?
You mean Montreal, Quebec. I hate when people say they're from (insert city name), Canada. Don't pander to people who can't be bothered to remember a paltry 10 provinces and 3 territories.
What do you mean by "for a game dev"? What's your basis for comparison here? Gabe Newell?
Maybe she wouldn't make it as a supermodel, but as geeky game devs go, she's a bombshell.
Anyone else notice the massive spoiler in the article? I mean this one is a remake of the first one, so giving away he ending might not have been a great idea.
Co-op?!?!? Nice.
I wonder if this will include the Plutonium Pak expansion?
I used to play that game all the time and I even got started designing levels with the old "Build" engine they packaged with it. Duke never looked as good, but it was a way more original shooter than Quake ever was.
Looking slick. I really want to see more of the game beyond the first level, but I don't want them to give to much away either. February can't come soon enough.
Thanks for the tip. I setup a UPNP server on my Linux machine manually, but it's a pain in the @ss to manage. I'll check out MediaTomb for sure.
Well we've all seen hi res in-game footage and hi res screnshots of the game countless times already and regardless of the quality of *these* scans we can confirm that yes, this game does look face-meltingly good. So we're not just talking out of our @sses and we don't need to "grow minds of our own".
Eeek. Weak scans. At least the game is coming along amazingly from what I saw in the last trailer on PSN.
Yup. There's some flash memory in the system where the OS and any system settings are stored. That's why you can swap your HD without losing any of your settings. When Dark_Alex or someone manages to get access to it through the install other OS option you'll be able to do all kinds of sick sh*t with your PS3. Before anyone asks, no, I'm not referring to piracy.
That's a good point SL1M, but from what I hear, formatting the HD was fixing the issue for people that were having trouble with the update. Weird.
Anyway, I imagine they'll just ship off new consoles to anyone who got a bricked one, then repair all the bricks they receive, slap some new shells on them and send them out to people who send PS3's in for repair in the future. They can speed up turn around time in the repair center that way so everyone wins.
The demo was plenty spooky, but I couldn't get past the second zombie because I wasn't sure what to do. The text on screen was in Japanese for anyone who hasn't tried it. Anyway, nice to hear the game turned out well. I hope we see an all English demo soon.
Why would IGN be running damage control for Silicon Knights? On a blog no less?
Nice to see the game finally getting some good press. I think Dyack was about to blow a gasket.
Apparently they changed that platinum trophy art too. Yippee.
Seriously, though, at least they got the fix out fast.
This game is going to suck up so much of my time.
That's a shame.
It's good that they're taking action. Popular online games almost always have these sort of issues at launch. I remember when Warhawk first came out, stat padders were killing flag bearers on their own team so they could bring the flag home and score for the points. Some minor adjusting to the penalty for team killing took care of that.
People will always find ways to cheat at online games for the sake of their e-weiners. Thankfully devs are usually pretty good about updating games or ...
