Agreed. Most Epic Fail. What were they thinking saying E3 isn't for core gamers? Those core gamers they're taking about spent the last 3 dys glued to their computer screens watching E3 live. The internet almost exploded when MS announced FFXIII because of core gamers.
Meanwhile most casual gamers have never even heard of E3 and they wouldn't really care if they did.
I can see this ending up like that stupid ram expansion for the N64. Some games will inevitably require this thing and not everyone will have one, no matter how widely available they make them. They should have made the wii-mote more sensitive in the first place or just let it be as is until next gen.
Hopefully they start handing these suckers out like candy if they plan on utilizing them a lot in the future. Considering the ridiculous mark up on the console itself, they should really ...
What's an Australia?
Flagship just got b*tch-slapped.
@3.2: No video store in Canada yet. We may not get it for a while. I remember MS took a while to get their video store up in Canada as well. At least we should get it before Europe.
Hells yaa! When I picked mine up I was able to trade in my PS2 for some extra credit towards the PS3 because I knew it was backwards compatible. I still pick up bargain bin PS2 games here and there that I never had a chance to play before.
Edit: It just occurred to me that this is going to be the 5th sku for the PS3 not including the Metal Gear edition. They really should just make up their minds.
This game looks awesome.
Maybe they're making Halo RPG for cell phones.
That would be awesome. Like Lair if it didn't suck.
Sony Santa Monica is working on that game.
Lol. That's going to be annoying. He even has the same avatar. I think it's just old school sonarus in disguise. He's been wanting a copy cat of his own for some time now.
I thought this was the studio they would get to make Twisted Metal PS3. That could be the next project they're working on.
You mean Prince Caspian? I don't see anything about POP anywhere.
This is going to be awesome. It's great how they've continued to support their game through paid DLC and free updates for so long.
I really liked the one for Dreamcast.
Burn Zombie Burn? How can a game with a title like that not be awesome?
It's not like Apple TV was ever really a threat. As archaic as the technology and service is, old school cable is still the biggest comptetion here. It's nice that MS is really stepping up their game, though. At the very least they'll put the pressure on the cable industry and start a price war.
How is the HD supposed to not spin? Unless everything is loaded into the ram (impossible) or the game is being read off the game disc (the opposite of what they're describing) the HD has to spin. That's how an HD works. It's like a record only instead of a needle it has a magnetic attachment on the arm that reads data from it as it spins. I don't get how this is supposed to work unless they are releasing a new flash memory based HD for the 360.
He did say substantial Live and games for windows exclusive content. He didn't say that PS3 wouldn't have its own exclusive content.
Unskippable cut-scenes is a bad one. I get that they want you to see them, but on your second play through a game like Assassin's Creed is it really necessary? NO!
I find save systems in modern games to be really poor. PC gamers have been able to save a game whenever they want for years. Now home consoles have enough built in memory to do the same. Why are we still using checkpoints? Stupid.
