I say a thousand times yes!
WOW is obviously in no danger of losing it's lead in the MMO market place, but it's starting to look pretty dated and there's only so much they can do with expansions. After Lich King it's time for them to start working on something else. If there next game takes subs away from WOW, who cares? It's still money in their pocket and there will be enough people to keep WOW from looking like a ghost town for years to come anyway.
Two discs I can deal with. It's that god awful name that has me worried.
I just dropped mine on the tumb drive without puttig it in any folder and it picked it up. It will need to be unzipped which is a bit unusual for emulators.
By "Main Root" he just means to drop the extracted folder right on the thumb drive without putting it in any sub folders or anything.
I'm playing Contra on it right now. It's playable, but lacks sound and it's a bit slow. Nice to see the homebrew scene making some progress, though. Should only be uphill from here.
@Xi: I very much doubt if those allegations are true. The amount of money Epic makes off licensing fees for UE3 dwarfs any money they might make off selling a game so they wouldn't shoot themselves in the foot by screwing over licensees.
Not only that, but they've always been confident enough in there own products that they wouldn't resort to underhanded tactics like that to get a leg up on the competition.
Also, business practices aside, do we really believe that th...
I don't want to take sides, although I tend to lean more towards Epic's side of things, but regardless of who's right or wrong, Dyack needs to shut up and save this stuff for the court room.
He's turning a legitimate lawsuit into nothing more than a smear campaign against Epic.
So no Blood Omen sequel from them it seems.
What a stupid article. WOW isn't desperate. They still hold more than 60% of the MMO market and the game has been out for almost 5 years now. After that amount of time, it's hardly surprising that they need to offer a few little extras to keep long time players interested. The fact that any new players at all are even signing up after that long is nothing short of astounding.
Personally I'm not that into WOW, but to say that Blizzard is "getting desperate" because they'...
Looks better than I was expecting. It's hard to really tell in a youtube video, but it's obviously a lot more colourful that the first one. I like how you get XP from just damaging people too. Makes it less annoying when someone steals your hard earned kill.
Can't wait to try it out.
Lol. I didn't know what you were talking about at first. Then I looked at the headline again.
What a let down that must have been.
Nice. Getting it now.
Lol @ Maudite. That's some pissy beer dude. Red Stripe is pretty bad too. It tastes like if you went around the day after a party and poured all the left over beer in the bottom of the bottles into a glass and drank it.
@TVC15: It's really no worse than downloading a couple of demos.
The Batman game will suck. Don't get your hopes up.
August 12th is a Tuesday no matter what time zone you live in.
Edit: Lol. I swear the 4 posts above me weren't there a second ago.
So SF fans...are we happy wth this news? I'm not really familiar with the Alpha series.
@Hater: You mean the backlash grenade?
I liked Ultimate better, but it's pretty much the same game. Anyone of the Treyarch Spidermans could have made the list, really.
Havok isn't the only physics solution.
I don't see this happening anyway. Havok licenses their tech to companies like EA who make games for all three consoles and PCs. Why would they give up contracts like that just to enter into some exclusivity deal with MS?
Generally they all have sound man. This emulator just doesn't have sound support yet. Honestly it's more of a curiosity at this point as it still runs a but laggy and there's no sound of course, but it's a great first step. It shouldn't take these guys long now before they have this thing up and running with sound support and 100% speed as well.
