Someone disagrees with your statement.
I immediately thought of Gunstar too. Not to mention Contra": Hard Corps, Toejam & Earl, and a few others. Let's face it, though, that's a hell of a lineup they got there. Looks like an easy buy for me.
That sucks. I didn't know they lost the Star Wars project. Anyway I expect they won't have any trouble finding a publisher for TS4 if they can just stay afloat long enough to get it done.
No word from EA about the PS3 port I take it? Nice. :'(
Well put man. I've said it before and I'll say it again, nothing is ever "good enough" in the online era. Everything has to be either the greatest thing since sliced bread or the worst bloody thing since the holocaust. Nobody seems capable of taking anything at face value anymore or just enjoying a game/movie/song/book for what it is. Entertainment, pure and simple.
Who cares if the latest Halo game or James Bond movie or Metallica CD didn't turn the world upside do...
Internally Google employees use a custom Linux distro jokingly called "Goobuntu". We've known about that for some time now. The question is whether they ever plan to release a desktop version or if they're just going to wait it out and go completely web based.
It's stylish enough, but it looks like kind of a crappy version of Stranglehold to me. Maybe if the video wasn't so crappy it would be easier to judge.
# Top Spin 3 - $39.95 (Reg. $29.99)
ummm...
Lol. So our dollar finally gets on par with the American one and it takes Sony literally MONTHS to lower their prices in Canada. The economy slumps, our dollar devalues and Sony's all over it within a few weeks. Nice.
Not to mention that we don't get PSN cards for another 8 months or so.
F**k you Sony.
That's fair. There's no denying the game's repetitiveness and I'd love to see some more variety in the next one, but, like you, I loved the first game. It's one of the best new IPs in years imo. Can't wait for the sequel.
My main hope is that they squash any bugs before it gets released this time. Creed had a nasty habit of freezing up my PS3 when it first came out.
Good to hear. I've never tried YDL, but if it has a decent package manager, I suppose anyone who knows anything about Linux should be able to use it just fine.
Didn't this game get cancelled a long time ago?
So the only difference is Netflix? That's not really surprising. We still don't have the PS3 video store either. Guess 34 million Canadians just aren't worth drafting up some legal papers for.
I don't think there's anythig wrong with UE3. That's not even what they're trying to say with this article. What they're saying is that it's not right for every game ever. MK vs. DCU is a good example of a game that the people who designed UE3 just didn't have in mind. UE3 is great at what it does, but it's not the ultimate solution for all your game design needs. One would think Midway would have realized that. I only wonder how they managed to stay afloat all these years. Is the MK license ...
Sucks to be Sony I guess, but truthfully, 18 and a half million dollars isn't exactly going to break the bank. This is SONY we're talking about here.
My favorite ever was Quan Chi in MK4/Gold. He would rip your leg off and then beat you down with it. Classic.
Sub Zero's spine rip from the original two games was pretty killer too.
Might be nice to have a spoiler warning or just take the spoiler out of the story description. Is it common knowledge how this game ends already? I sure didn't know until just now.
Another one? Wow. It was more fun watching the comments back when there was an actual difference to be seen in these multi-plats.
@Silogon: I bloody well hope GOW3 plays like it's brother and sister. They were, imo, the absolute best two games of the previous generation.
That's the major obstacle standing in GOW3's way. If it's too much like it's predecessors people will say it's just more of the same. If they change too much, people will complain that it strays too far from the old formula.
Personally I hope it's very similar to the original games with better graphics and a few minor additions...
Near as I can tell that list is all made up of exclusives. Shadowrun was on the SNES too.
