Yeah, you can hear somebody calling them out on it in the background in the second vid.
"Are you guys gamers or what?"
I always liked the ending of Shadow of the Ninja on NES because it had cool music. The original Metroid was a good one too.
"ZOMG! It's a gurl!"
I'm not a fan myself, but I was sort of expecting Shadow of the Colossus to be on there. Team ICO fanatics are always tripping over each other to sing that game's praises.
"ZOMG! He has horns!"
Lol. Busted!
Seriously, it's usually kind of petty to call out a reviewer because you're not happy with a review, but if what they're saying is true, then yeah, Eurogamer screwed up. Good on these guys for speaking up about it.
I wonder if the purchase of Bioware and Pandemic figures into this at all. It just doesn't make sense how they could lose a billion dollars developing software. Sure they must spend a lot making their games, but they move a LOT of software too.
There may have been some behind the scenes stuff too that we don't see. Building new studios, upgrading hardware, etc. That can cost a lot of money, obviously.
That'll teach 'em to make good games for once. :(
It's all well and good to hate on old EA, but if this is what's going to happen when they start making decent games and taking risks, I wouldn't blame them for reverting to their old ways.
...1 billion dollars...Jesus.
Well the game looks kind of cool, but Jesus, that was the lamest trailer I've ever seen.
I wouldn't call the handheld market "untapped" when referring to Nintendo. Or was that sarcasm?
There's no guarantee that a Soul Caliber adventure on PSP would be any less trashy than the wii one. At least by sticking to the original formula, Namco is bound to please old school fans of the series.
Awesome news, but it sounds like an odd release for PSN. We rarely see these ports of classic games on PSN. There were a few when PSN launched and Mortal Kombat 2, of course, but I haven't seen any new ones in months.
Anyway, good stuff.
Airborne was average, as were the last 3 or so Medal of Honor titles, but I always like to give the newest MoH games a rent at very least. It'll be hard to find a market for another WW2 game, though.
So Forbes is doing gaming top ten lists now? Okay.
Hells yeah! Good call.
Maybe PSN/Wii will get that Genesis game called Hyperstone Heist. It was basically the same from what I recall. Not likely, I know, but it would be a sneaky way to get around any sort of exclusivity agreement.
Anyone else find it odd that Konami held onto the Turtles IP all this time?
Yeah, what's the word on consoles that are getting this title? I wouldn't mind playing an old school beat 'em up with nice HD graphics. That Watchmen game didn't really cut it for me.
Might have been some kid who didn't remember that move from the original Turtles games.
@Hizzy: No, crappy players get hit by that slow ass punch, then call their opponents cheap when they lose.
It was a good decision (imo) to go with the cartoony look rather than just downgrading the graphics the other systems are getting. The wii may not be capable of some of the things the other consoles can do, but a good art style should be able to overshadow that.
Unfortunately, all the other reason he mentioned (motion controls, etc) are precisely the reasons I wouldn't want this version. I guess the bottom line is the wii version is the version to buy for fans of the wii. For ...
Lol. The first one that pops up. It kind of took me by surprise. I was expecting the Big Sister to be a little more conservative.
Everything looks very slightly sharper than the original to me. The splicer models look like they've been improved too. I always thought they were kind of a weak point in the look of the original.
So...anyone else notice the Big Sister kind of has a nice ass? ;)
Xbox exclusive, eh? When did that happen?
Edit: Somebody disagrees with my question. Allow me to rephrase in a manner that's sure to please everyone:
Xbox exclusive, eh? Neat! When did that happen?
