Well of course blu-ray isn't going to sell nearly as much as DVD at this point. Any idiot can see that. Please, DVDs have been mainstream for maybe 10 years now. EVERYBODY has a DVD player by now. I tell you this, in 7 or 8 years, if another format doesn't pop up, blu-ray will be doing just as DVD is now.
And on the topic of streaming, I will never let digital distribution become my source...
What a joke. You know, its these kinds of people that are the problem. They are probably the ones that raise the psychotic, murderous kids. They raise them extremely strictly, banning everything from them - just like this, and you know what happens? They end up as the killers, the rebels, the ones that give bad names to things such as video games. They themselves are to blame.
That and parents stupid enough to buy their 12 year old sons Grand Theft Auto IV.
Oh man, I had some good times with Halo. Anybody who hasn't played it should take advantage of this deal.
And your point is? Even if there are already over 20 million customers, more won't hurt. And I'm sure there are more people than just me who won't bite because of unreliable hardware.
...And this is the main reason why I refuse to buy a 360. Honestly, people tell me 'oh come on, look how cheap it is. Look at all the great exclusives.' And I have to say, I am itching to play some of those exclusives, but are they worth the hassle of almost inevitably having to return the console, maybe multiple times?
Fix your hardware, Microsoft, and you might just get a few new customers.
I sure as hell hope not. If the day comes when I am forced to use services such as Netflix to recieve games and movies, I will forever stop watching films and gaming. Simple as that.

Yes, it is a victim of hype. There have been much worse shooters out there. Sad how one mediocre game (honestly wasn't terrible) can destroy a company.
Certainly sad that some people are 'addicted' to gaming. But, isn't this seen mainly in the MMORPG world? I don't know much people that will play their 360s or PS3s for hours upon hours everyday, yet there seems to be many people who play WoW and similar games for unhealthy amounts of time.
I sure hope they've improved the draw distance. It was the one thing that stopped me from being amazed by the game. Well, I guess I'll (maybe) see in 19 days!

I disagree with Farcry 2 and Dark Sector. I throughly enjoyed both. Maybe its because I haven't played the original Farcry and picked up Dark Sector for $10 thinking it would be rubbish, but both definitly haven't disappointed me.
What reasons do you have to be bitter? There is nothing wrong with summarizing the hits of 2008 and naming the best games of the year.

I also found the story in GTA IV to be great. You really have to look deeper than 'immigrant criminal with shady background arrives in city, rises to top.' It is a story of two brothers reconnecting along with Niko's personal struggles to forgive and forget. And he never does rise to the top. Sure Niko and Roman may have a flashy penthouse by the end (which is still not that great of a penthouse IMO) but have they really made it?

So you are assuming that everybody who buys it on the PC is buying it for that platform because they despise Microsoft. Please, we all know where the money is going. I will be purchasing the PC version (if this rumor is true) because it will be the best version; not because I'm foolish enough to think that my money is going to a different source.
I call for a Halo film. It will sell well no matter if there is no plot, and thats all that matters nowadays in Hollywood.

I've played all of the games on that list except for Gears of War 2, Super Smash Brothers Brawl, Mario Kart Wii, and Ninja Gaiden 2.
I can safely say that none of them disappointed me in the slightest.
