How is last gen comparable to this gen? I mean look, everything is backwards. The Xbox may have very well been able to overcome the PS2 had they launched at the same time, it was the superior console. The one problem is, nobody is sure when they will announce the next console, and if the 360 will go the way of the original - full loss of support. If Microsoft manages to keep the software coming for it after the 720 (or whatever it will be called) I can see the sales continuing well into the future. Like I said, it's a niche title. I understand that most (all?) the people here scoff at the thought of driving a virtual bus around.
It all stems from Flight Simulator for me though. That got me into sims. I began with Flight Sim 2002 then I discovered MS Train Sim, truck sims, and now bus sims.
I guess the attraction is being able to operate vehicles one would normally not be able to operate in every day life.
Bus Simulator - It's one of those things that is fun if it interests you, kind of like Flight Simulator. Notice how they rated it #1 because it bored them... Now I love MS Flight Simulator, and sims of all kinds, so I'm willing to give Bus Simulator a shot if it supports mods.
It's a niche title, but I've played another bus sim called "Bus Driver" that was pretty fun, so goes to show that you need to have an interest in the subject at hand to enjoy the sim.
Wowsh, it wasn't but at 24 million or so not too long ago was it? Or is my memory getting warped? Either way, there is no denying that the 360 is and may very well continue to maintain a healthy lead over the PS3. Will it achieve PS2 numbers in its time? No way, but it should continue to sell really well until it is put to death.
But that is stating the obvious, right?
I'm going to be honest here. I'm getting tired of first person shooters. I'm much more hyped for Infamous, Uncharted 2, Heavy Rain, Gran Turismo 5, etc.

I dislike DD for two reasons:
One, I have a wireless connection. That means varied speeds. One moment I could have a lightning fast connection and the next it could be sluggish as hell. Until there is a consistent fast connection (fiber optics maybe, but FIOS isn't in my area) I am not sitting though minutes of buffering if streaming or hours long downloads.

Ugh, work. I brought Fallout 3 today (well yesterday, its 1 AM here) and combine that with LBP which I brought a few days ago, I could stay away from work for a long time. Oh well, I guess I'm fortunate enough to have hours that permit a bit of leisure time each day.
I picked up the PS3 (back when it was $600 mind you) because I thought it was the best value for the money. This article didn't change that. Now I certainly wouldn't mind a 360 sitting next to my PS3, but looking at all the bonuses and (supposed) longevity of the system, the PS3 still gets my vote.
Surpassed? No. I don't expect CGI quality games for a long time. But Killzone 2 is damn impressive, no doubt. It certainly is (or will be when it is released!) one of, if not the best looking games out there.

Now where is that article that stated that the 360 outsold the PS3 by 8 million this year? Correct me if I'm wrong, but this certainly DOESN'T look like an 8 million lead on sales. In fact, it seems that they are both pretty much neck and neck.
