Not having read this review you mention, I assume that both versions will not be identical besides the AA. There may be other differences that one review doesn't mention.
Even if they don't, it is not a large difference. It will probably effect nobody's decision on what console they are purchasing the game on. I know it won't change my decision.
Agh, I must learn to control my temper, but I stand by my words. A same score does not = better, and a little more AA does not necessarily make a game on one console superior.
And Resistance 2 and Mirrors Edge are totally different games. You can't compare them.
And Kotaku is supposed to be biased? I don't see why. I mean, there certainly is a large volume of useless articles and 360 oriented articles, but I have yet to see an example of them being biased.
Anyways, it seems like a fair review, and they had plenty of good to say about LBP.
The 'beta' was more or less just a demo. It was too late to actually fix any problems anyone found.
...Which is why reviews, user reviews especially, never have and never will have an ounce of credibility.
Is this the image we want to give gaming, a bunch of 13 year old morons attacking each other over a $60 piece of entertainment because their mommy wouldn't buy them the console it is on?
What the f*ck is wrong with you people? Grow up, get a job, and enjoy the games. That's what they are made to do.
And while I'm pissed off, what is up with the...
Argh, so many games and no money. Well I know I will be picking up Fallout 3 and LBP come Christmas, but I don't know what to do about Guitar Hero. I already have a GH III controller, so that negates the cost of the new instruments, but I'm still debating whether or not it's worth a buy.
Finally, I've been waiting for these forevor. Finally will have my first trophies Monday.
Hopefully this will spur interest in the game again. As each day goes by I find less and less likable people to enjoy the game with online.
EDIT: Read THEMART's comment on that website. Hilarious. I find it amazing that someone that biased and ignorant can actually run a website.
Where does it say Obama loves Sony? Why would Obama love any corporation?
Nice story though. He's getting my vote. Without being too heavily into politics, McCain seems like another Bush.
They do both look fun, but there is only enough room in my wallet for one. I have a hoarding personality, so I don't rent. It would kill me having to return one of them not to play it again for a few months.
I find it funny that Metacritic is allowing these obviously malicious ratings to go through.
I don't understand why someone would do something such as rate down a game just because they don't get to play it. It surely can't be that hard to find a friend with a PS3 or save up $400. Oh yeah, I forgot, anyone who is a fanboy of a console probably had to beg their mommy and daddy to fork out the cash and can't fathom ever having enough money to own both consoles.
I think I'll pick this up over Resistance 2 this holiday. I would be getting it on the PC, but the thing died on me, so PS3 it is.
I'm not going to let the ending be spoiled for me, but I don't think a game like this relies so much on the story as it does gameplay.
I mean, I enjoyed Soldier of Fortune: Payback. I could write a deeper and better story, yet (for me at least) the gameplay was satisfying. Hopefully Geow 2 turns out the same way.
"From great (halo 3) to absolutely horrid (mgs4)."
I do hope you are being sarcastic, it is difficult to tell on the internet.
What, no self control? Nobody is forcing you to watch it, you know.
I just saw a commercial for it on ABC. The selling will begin now that all the casual gamers watching 'Dancing With the Stars' see it. Ugh.
Uh, why not do what they should have done at the start and make hard drives standard? If this makes the Arcade owners angry, f*ck them, they're the weakest link.
I never said I wasn't going to buy it. I am eventually, or at least rent. I just don't want to risk $60 on something that I may not fully enjoy. Money is tight at the moment, you see.
Damn it. 360 it is, then. Hooray for not doing my research beforehand!
I meant it was too late to fix anything before the game shipped (in fact, it may have gone gold during the beta, I can't remember).
