And I fail to see how LBP is a "bog standard 2d platformer." How can you even compare this to Wii Sports?
Maybe I'm not a very sociable person, but I rarely use online multiplayer. If I feel like gaming with others, I'll invite my close friends on and we will game with the split screen. Infinitley more fun than jumping into a lobby with a bunch of people you don't know. It is very unfortunate that the split screen aspect of games is starting to disappear.

Trust me, I've played both (360 version for only about 20 minutes, admiteddly) and I can tell you that when you are in the heat of the action and not agonizing over every little visual detail, you will have a difficult time telling the two apa...
How on earth does this make them biased? I really doubt that the National Geographic executives have ever touched a console. Just because a company does not make a game for your console doesn't mean they are biased.
I'm sick of these. The differences are always so minute that when you actually play the game, it doesn't matter. All this is is a bunch of fanboys nitpicking the other console's version.

Fact of the matter is, almost everyone who actually owns a blu-ray collection (I really doubt much of the bashers do) are very satisfied, myself included.
I personally can't see why anyone with an HDTV would want to continue streaming for watching DVDs. What a waste of money.
There is always more to improve. As good as Gears 1 was, they can always do better. Look at the Halo series. The first one was great, but they never really improved much and look where its gotten. Halo 3 was just 'meh.'
Not saying Gears will be like Halo, though. I am looking forward to it, and it looks to be a great experience.

Blu ray players were definitley selling. I went over to Fry's Electronics on Saturday and HD-Tvs and Blu ray players were flying out the door.
