Oh the irony. You're complaining that Shift 2 is going to be the "same old hashed out game" and then go on to ask for another sequel to Underground, a game that has already been rehashed once and from which another sequel would offer nothing new but more 'been there done that' piss-poor gameplay?

Now I'm not the biggest proponent of the NFS series taking steps towards semi-simulation, but I'd take a sequel to Shift over more of the same crap that...

...Into a solitary activity. I think that gamers in general are spending less time having a blast with physical friends, instead sitting alone and competing against complete strangers (many of whom make for an extremely unpleasant experience).

I don't even own a second Dualshock 2 for my PS3, whereas last gen I owned at least 4 controllers so me and my friends could game together. And I still don't see the need to invest in a new controller for my PS3 when it would ge...

The only Madden game that I own is Madden 2001. It's sort of pathetic that I still feel (with good reason) that I still have no reason to upgrade after almost 10 years.

I haven't watched a newly released film for months nor do I watch any television save for a couple of quality shows that I have grown attached to. Outside of that, movies bore me to tears.

I think that the big issue is interactivity. Over the last few years I've been playing games more and more and because of that have become quite reliant on my own actions or my own decisions to connect me with the story (of games). You simply don't get that connection with films...

Let me tell you, you're missing out. Big time. It's sort of odd that you would rather buy based on someone else's judgment (usually influenced in some way) over your own opinion?

Live a little; take some gaming risks. You won't regret it. Too many people miss out on GREAT games just because they didn't do well in the reviews, and then some overhyped piece of garbage comes along, gets high reviews, and consumers are disappointed. Want to know why that happe...

I leave the country tomorrow and will have no internet access to watch the show. What great timing :(

On topic, photomode is looking AMAZING. I think that one of my favorite things to do in GT5 will be just to collect cars and take pretty photographs of them!

Oh really? What's Far Cry 2 then?

I'd say a big reason to still consider GT is that you are going to be getting over 600 cars that you didn't have the chance to drive in Forza! That's a big deal, well to me at least. I believe that there is plenty of difference between the two games for it to be worth owning both. But hey, since you are speaking your honest opinion and not trolling, I'll just respectfully disagree and be on my way!

EDIT: Nevermind, looked at your comment history. You're a...

Even people who don't normally enjoy racing games can hop on in and enjoy a GT game. I personally believe that it has to do with the collection aspect. Racing itself may be unappealing to some people, but I'll be damned if there is a single person in the world that doesn't enjoy collecting things, especially things as shiny, interactive, and beautiful as cars! It really is more than just a racing game. :D

But the fines you will receive for trespassing and destruction of property will be a bit more than sixty bucks. Just wanted to let you know that your analogy is utterly pathetic.

And nothing will fix it short of a major overhaul. The way N4G is set up, in order to be a successful contributer, you want your articles to attain high degree rankings. And in order for that to happen, you need a lot of people to view your article. Sure, a compelling bit of news can do that, but it is far easier to simply submit flamebait to attract the underbelly of this site.

Degree rankings should be removed. They in no way indicate the quality of an article and serve no ...

It's a shame that there are so many people who wish to help out but don't realize that they can. Just take the contributer test, submit 3 articles and you are good to go.

It's always a shame to see people comment on a perfectly good article, but since they are only ranked as members, they cannot approve it and that perfectly good article falls under the heels of the flamebait and crap.

Too many idiots are allowed to hold the power of approving ar...

Me neither. Last one that I played came with my PS2 I think. It had Parappa the Rapper on it and I would play that demo over and over! Never did get around to buying the actual game though.

It's the fact that this small blog that not many people have heard of was able to get this information out of PD when literally NOBODY else has been able to get a clear answer. It also doesn't help that the only source for this quote comes from that blog, and nowhere else; if PD would so easily tell this blogger then why not anyone else?

Something smells fishy; it smells like lying or stretching the truth for hits, which you all are feeding into.

"For all their endless minigames, did anyone actually play them more than once?"

Every time I fire up RDR, I always end up finding myself either playing Poker or Liar's Dice! I think that Rockstar did a MUCH better job with RDR in terms of minigames then they had done with GTA IV.

Buy it. It's worth it for the unique atmospheric sequences alone. There are some moments in the game that have impacted me and will stay with me far in to the future, in the same way that childhood experiences stay with you or something profound.

It really is a beautiful game, and that alone is enough to overcome many of its flaws.

You can tune them to a great depth for sure, as Gran Touring mentioned. But if you mean visual customizations, then that is still up in the air at this point. There's been some clues pointing towards the inclusion of such customizations, but nobody knows for sure yet.

Sorry that I can't be of much help, but we really do know very very little.

It's not too often that a developer is actually correct when they say that their game is so ambitious and future proof that it is too much even for current technology... Well Kaz certainly wasn't lying to us when he confessed that. The level of detail on these cars and the GT5 engine certainly all look beautiful enough to herald us into the next-gen, on the PS6.

Just imagine the magic that will happen when technology catches up to PD; imagine all 1000+ cars modeled t...

Certainly can't match the level of the premium cars (obviously), but they still look quite impressive, especially when you consider the circumstances that surround them.

I think that we have nothing to worry about, all of the cars, premium and standard, look great.
