Very unlikely indeed. I mean I know that many gamers are stupid, but I don't see how anybody could possibly be stupid enough to pay 10 pounds EACH MONTH for little other than a couple of maps, weapons, and a beta. And for many people, that would be on top of the Xbox LIVE fee.
But then again, considering how many fucking idiot kids I run into when playing MW2, perhaps I wouldn't be very surprised.
edit: Just looked a couple of posts below mine. I'...
The technology isn't new at all, it's been floating around in the form of 3D gifs for quite a while.

This is how I view trophies.
I generally run through a game once and get what I can, and if I thoroughly enjoyed the game, then I will run through again and try for the platinum to squeeze out every last bit of fun. If I don't thoroughly enjoy the game... well then it's just going to have to sit there at 15% trophy completion, while I move on to greener pastures.
I can't imagine playing a game I dislike over and over again just to get all the trop...
My girlfriend played Toy Story 3 once. :D
LOL, we've got a long way to go!
Yeah what the hell am I looking at?
More like most epic stunt I saw 4 months ago. -.-
Sorry but I couldn't help laughing out loud when you tried to blame Nasim. Talk about flogging a dead horse, eh? I mean holy shit, it must have been a year since I've last seen that name mentioned. Get over yourself man, it's pretty pathetic.
Indeedy, indeedy. I think we all jumped the gun a bit with the earlier shots, because this is MUCH improved. I take back what I said earlier about lazy development :p
Very very nice to know that I can feel comfortable picking up the game on any console of choice and it will look good no matter what.
Holy shit did 2K even try? I'm the person that always complains about these comparisons saying "stop arguing over tiny differences," but dear God that is atrocious.
There is no way that is due to any sort of "superiority" of the 360 over the PS3, but straight up lazy dev work.
I could buy this for the PC and not worry about such things, but if the devs really did that shit-quality work, then I don't have any confidence at all in ...
I'm primarily a console gamer, and ease of use plays a lot into that. But unfortunately my PS3 decided to YLOD on me last week and I lost all my saves and don't yet have the money for a replacement. Because of that, I've temporarily turned my focus to PC gaming until I can get the motivation to replace the damned console; and I have to say, I've discovered that the extra effort put into gaming on a PC is usually well worth it.
There's no denying that the ...
Holy shit that was incredibly money wasting, extremely dangerous, stupid, and damaging to the environment.... But that was some of the best damn marketing I've seen in a while! What it lacked in brains, it made up for in sheer awesomness :o
I'm pretty sure there was no back up. It's all disappeared into oblivion forever, or so I presume from reading the comments in the article (I don't play EVE myself).
...Because now they have to JUSTIFY the creation of the peripheral. They made this thing and now they are stuck with it until its existence can be justified.
It is simply unacceptable and unprofitable to put such an expensive thing on the market and have it only support one game, and a terrible one at that.
Once this sequel fails, however, it will be time to put all of this crap out to pasture once and for all.
So I wouldn't get my hopes up too much. Or at all.
The Tony Hawk series is, and will be, forever a shell of its former self. There hasn't been a decent TH game in years (last real quality one I played was Pro Skater 4), and this looks to be no different. It's one of those series that does desperately need a return to its roots, but has been sucked into the vicious cycle of farming for $$$$$.
Skateboarding/snowboarding hybrid? Talk about all novelty and no substance, this will be no better than Ride or any other TH ga...
Talk about cherry picking. What about all those casual gamers who shell out the big bucks over and over for each new Sims expansion, many of which simply recycle content from previous games?
And it's more than possible to maintain a decent collection of "hardcore" games without ever shelling out $60. Buy later. Buy used. Steam sales. PSN and Xbox LIVE games. Shit, I can play a game such as Dwarf Fortress (which I think we can easily consider as "hardcore&qu...
The correct one is "than." I believe that he was referring to the title of the article, which has now been fixed so the reference seems a bit odd now. :p
This is precisely why I've never sold a single one of my games, in addition to collecting them. I just never know when I'll get a random urge to play one of them, even not so great games, so it's good to have them around to satisfy cravings.
Now that I can agree with. It would probably be a bit excessive, what with Hot Pursuit being rebooted at the current moment, but if the NFS franchise continues to be made, I would place Porsche Unleashed near the top of my wishlist. It was easily one of the best games in the series and would translate nicely to modern consoles.
"i mean the exclusive maps and the FREE access to DLC makes it more than worth its cash."
10 pounds a month... 120 pounds a year. You're either an idiot, 13 years old, or both. No other way around it.
