yeah... and im not sure if you can tell from those pics, but i watched the E3 2009 trailer and paused it at the part where Lightning is running in that vast open plain....... repeated textures EVERYWHERE :( looked like they had 1 ground texture just copy+pasted all over. horrible.
i hope that will be fixed, should be enough space on a blu-ray disc to store more varied textures. because honestly, i have seen better texture variation in PS2 games.
i'm strangely not hyped for MW2 at all... maybe the time will come. or maybe i just played COD4 way too much and had enough.
anyone else feel the same way? i mean... just adding snowmobiles and iceclimbing and whatnot is not going to make it feel fresh enough, im afraid.
it sucks that even in 2009 we PS3 owners still have to be wary of inferior ports... this game doesnt matter that much to me, but if Assassin's Creed 2 turns out to be inferior on PS3 with more screentearing, lesser textures, framerate hiccups that affect gameplay etc... i am NOT going to be happy. i have the same fear about Bioshock 2 and MW2, and Rockstar's Red Dead Redemption (using the GTAIV engine, will it be sub-HD again?)...

they are both very good looking games, but in different ways. though yeah i admit, i dont think MW2 will look all that spectacular after playing KZ2 a lot.

i think i wouldn't like such a game no matter how it deals with the subject... though honestly, we have hundreds of war games and everyone knows war is ten times more awful and destructive than single acts of terrorism. war is just romanticized in our Western societies, so we dont see that it's always like terrorism, only in slow motion and kills and maims even more innocents... and cripples entire countries for decades.... if it was up to me i wouldn't want any games based on war or other ex...
