So true. I hate returning games personally. Even when they suck (like CoD 3 and Marvel Ultimate Alliance). I like to just keep a collection handy. I often go back through my library alot.
I'm also considering checking out Titanfall 2 and Tomb Raider 2 on PS4 but only if Titanfall adds more players and content and I would probably rather play U4 a third time than pick up TR2 so we'll see about that. It looks okay.
/uncalled for fanboyism
There was OlliOlli 2 and Stardust quite recently. Most don't want it to count, but The Order is a solid game despite not offering a good value for a full-priced retail game. We're seeing games like Driveclub and FFXIV really come into their own with updates (Heavensward could be a game changer). Bloodborne's almost here. We should be seeing Journey and the Fat Princess game soon. Then there's Tearaway, Ratchet, Uncharted, Disgaea 5, Persona 5, MLB, FFX/X-2, Rime, The Witness, ...
Technically no. Every system is kind of doing its own thing. Sony and Nintendo are trying to release something every month while Microsoft tends to cram in the last 4 months of the year. However, Sony and Nintendo also do a bit of their own cramming in those months so it's hard to say how everything will pan out.
I would prefer TES 6 but am expecting fallout and am happy either way.
Lol and maybe drakengard 4 while we're at it. Oh and 6 more KH spinoffs spanning the snes, neo geo, GBC, and iPad.
Yeah it's tragic that the best handheld I've ever owned turned out to be the least supported. All they need is a rockstar game and a square game and they would be set. I feel like monster hunter is out of the question now.
Prices could use work. Or at least more sales that actually boast more than a small handful of games. I'd like to get pikmin 3 for less than 60 bucks. Doesn't help that Nintendo games at retail almost never drop in price. Skyward sword is almost nowhere to be found and is going for over its launch price everywhere online.
Also N64 games that don't require me to buy a 4th kind of controller to play. So natively played from the Wii u I suppose. I'm also very in...
Exactly.
Like analog button support. I honestly miss it though. Digital for every game sucks so much. Especially for games like platformers that let you alter how high you can jump.
Yes I'm down to 100gb after 6 retail games and countless ps plus games (i feel like it's around 50 or more now). I'm thinking 2 tb minimum and even that will only last me 3 or 4 years.
Does it matter? The games have to install entirely anyway I'm pretty sure. Almost makes me wonder why we needed a 6X blu-ray reader. I guess just for the initial install process.
Better build quality for sure. Although the core design of the ds4 sticks might be better because they are quite comfortable while the x1 sticks are almost too concave (almost like reverse cones). Either way I hate how all sticks lose most of their initial grip with time. Watch out for friends with greasy fingers too lol.
I just hope they fixed some of big boss' animations from what we saw in ground zeroes. The running and some of the cqc just looked retarded. I'm hoping they just didn't have time to polish those parts.
Kind of where I'm at. I would only only get a sequel if they added a lot more content and provided alternatives to the MP-only approach. And even then I would wait until it's on sale. The only fps games that I really enjoy these days though are the ones that have RPG elements and/or are open world.
Remark about the controller is subjective. I find it awkward to use for any genre (especially twin sticks and fighters). Perhaps because of its arbitrary assymetry.
I could say Microsoft pioneered this strategy and is responsible for its wide-spread adoption but I suppose that would be as childish as saying "they did it first!"
I actually enjoyed and obsessed over Destiny for about two weeks straight (longer than most games last) despite its obvious shortcomings. It at least nailed it in terms of gameplay and audio/visual presentation while having a few different ways to play(sp, co op, "free-roam", co op strikes/raids, pvp)and incentives to continue grinding.
Off-topic: I still have to dig further into transistor I guess but the binding of Isaac was actually my favourite indie of the year...
Final fantasy games in Canada for me in the ps2 days ranged anywhere from 70 to 90 dollars at release in my town. The only time I paid less was if I got a greatest hits version.
The thing that got me was the overall art style and story and characters and music and enemies (giant T-rex). At some point after I had killed a T-Rex and was driving around in my car with squall, one of the biggest babies in RPG history, I felt like I wasn't even playing a Final Fantasy game. It's just a really strange game overall and the babysitter plot twist completely killed everything that plot had going for me (which was basically nothing). It's down there with XII and II a...
