It all started with observations from Edge. But in all honesty it sounds like they're going to give it a 9 and others are just nit-picking the observations. 40 hours and not finished the first playthrough is a HUGE pro for most games (especially ones with RPG elements).
Yeah tricked out weapons plus guns. There is a lot more going on then in previous games so the decline is understandable. So excited to experience the atmosphere of this game.
A man would like pics.
Ambiguous PR jargon seems to be at play. Not the first time. Won't be the last.
That sounds amazing. But I still can't comprehend why there are so many white surfaces. Maybe I saw an early build focusing more on the engine's capabilities?
Or we as in him and his PS4 maybe?
Agreed that most gamers aren't that into sports/racing games (although there are a lot who are), but Bloodborne looks like a game that might rake in widespread appeal. I've been more excited about it than any other game from last E3 and I'm not the biggest souls enthusiast... although I consider myself somewhat hardcore as far as gaming tastes go.
As long as Ratchet actually releases this year and delivers I'll be pretty content. The U4 delay simply solidified Persona 5 as my 2015 goty (unless Zelda is mind blowing) and probably U4 as my 2016 goty. Would not mind a new game from Guerilla or MM or Quantic or Housemarque this fall though. And there are probably a few other devs that I forgot about. Santa Monica has been kind of out of the loop for awhile.
Curious about how the reviews will pan out for this game. Even the terrible FFXIII did well critically. This could be the start of a comeback for Square assuming we get XV and KH3 and they live up to the hype.
Between DQ, Type 0, FFXV, Persona, and Disgaea things could get very real in Japan. The only thing missing is Monster Hunter and then Japan would implode because of PS4 OD.
I agree. The horse has been beaten to a pulp. Conversely we were hearing about how Ryse was the best looking game for months despite how mediocre it was and despite the fact that Shadowfall already delivered photo-realistic graphics from a first person perspective (actually harder to do because of the closeness of many of the textures).
I think Uncharted 4 will raise the bar though while giving us the gameplay to match.
Like another 2 hours added to the campaign, more gameplay compared to QTE and cutscenes, and some sturdy competitive multiplayer or co-op. That would be the ideal sequel.
Army of Two and Kane and Lynch had sequels. I feel like The Order definitely deserves one as well. Payday was a horrible game and then they had Payday 2 and it turned out to be pretty amazing albeit repetitive.
Considering U2 and 3 and TLoU are vastly superior to the last TR (those terrible animations and sloppy death sequences aside), TR2 is going to have to be twice the game of its predecessor to even begin to compete. That and PS4 gets both games regardless.
That's right. I fed the troll.
Currently playing rogue legacy, binding of Isaac, tranistor, oddworld, and lbp3.
Playing persona 3, sly Cooper, ffx, and dissidia on vita.
Playing smash, 3d world, and pikmin 3 on Wii u.
Suffice to say I have too much going on at once.
I find they go between the best sales you'll find(i have seen a few prices trump steam ahead of steam although it's rare) or they are just mediocre versions of sales we've already seen previously. I remember no no kuni went on sale like 10 different times. Telltale games are another one that can be hit or miss with sales. I ended up getting the 5 seasons for 44 bucks. That's like 8ish bucks a season.
I feel like gta5 for ps4 won't go down in price for awh...
Not enough planets. They'll probably give us the other half as dlc. What a rip off.
The hipocrisy is amusing. I'm selling my Xbox friends on this game to make sure it gets the sales it deserves. That and I can probably play it on one of their systems. ;)
The x1 has had a terrible line up so far. Especially if you factor in smaller titles where ps4 has been killing it. Both ps4 and x1 have yet to release something resembling the perfect exclusive thanks to bugs and other flaws. Nintendo is actually doing a good job but they're 3 years into their cycle so it's to be expected.
Edit: to address the lineup specifically. We have already had a killzone, an infamous, a new housemarque game, a littlebigplanet, a slew of great...
What is the more than 1 AAA title? I can think of only halo 5 and timed exclusives hardly count as a system victory. The average gamer would rather wait a bit than buy an entirely new system for a game.
Agreed most games have a lot of garbage weapons that are just kind of filler content. They do add a sense of depth to a game though. Maybe there is a lore-related reason for the lack of weapons and chests? Maybe I'm grasping at straws? As long as it doesn't detract from the overall quality of the game, I'm fine with it.
