N64 lineup is still pretty sad imo. Sure there's Wii mode but that requires you to buy a whole other controller unless you happened to have a Wii with the classic controller already (who would? Imo Wii was casual and Wii u is really damn core like the GameCube).
What download limit? I haven't heard of that. You have certain .Activated devices and that's all there is to it. I thought the downloads were unlimited. I know a few games I've downloaded as many as five times and on different systems too.
For MS maybe not. It has been huge for Sony before though since they obviously have a lot of big developers based in Europe.
Still waiting for the DLC to price drop. Maybe around the release of the Taken King I can get both for 20 combined? That would be actually decent value for the money.
Agreed. Dinklage fit the part pretty well and if I didn't know it was him I was probably unlikely to guess it was him. The writing in general was garbage. They were like here's a story...just kidding. What even happened in Destiny? Something bad almost happens but then it doesn't and then it's back to square one. Not even a memorable character to be seen.
FFXV in 2016
KH3 in 2017
Then maybe FFVII in 2019?
There needs to be sufficient time between the last two games for obvious reasons.
I can't believe it took them so long to make the original XIII. At least Versus has an incredible open world to show for its huge development cycle.
If it's on Vita I will honestly buy it even though I rank it down there with FFX-2, FF2, and FF3. I wouldn't mind actually doing the endgame hunts the second time around. Maybe I just won't use Vaan and Penelo too since they're annoying and have no bearing on the plot.
The combat system and area traversal somehow feels more mundane and tedious than the traditional random encounters and turn based combat. Probably because it plays like a pseudo-MMORPG, the game can play itself with decent gambits, and the world is pretty void of sidequests and extra content because they offloaded all of the extra content into the repetitive hunt quests. I admit I did finish the game to see how the story panned out but it dropped the ball harder than I expected. You're re...
I've said it before and I'll say it again. Square has no more good ideas and one of the few things they have going for them is Tetsuya Nomura. He is literally behind all of their upcoming best titles (FFXV, KH3, and FF7...how's that for cred lol). Yoshi P has done a good job turning around the FFXIV situation as well though.
Maybe this is blasphemous but I almost wish that Gears became a new franchise utilizing the same engine and gameplay. It looks like a reboot which is fresh in itself but it doesn't look nearly as good as say if you took the characters into a more visceral environment with higher stakes (no armour, etc.). Maybe something like what ND did with the transition from Uncharted to Last of Us. I think it would have been as successful if not more than what they are trying to do now.
It's not that they don't exist at all though. The first party titles are coming. We've already had a solid amount but obviously not as many as the PS3 was delivering at some points. I was expecting Uncharted 4 and a few new games for this year but it looks like 2016 will be the big year. Although this year is still shaping up to be better than 2014. Fallout 4, Bloodborne, The Witcher 3, and Persona 5? That is a stellar lineup that especially caters to someone like me.
I wouldn't say it was a trade-off to begin with.MS had rights and timed exclusivity with Fallout 3 as well. Remember Operation Anchorage or whatever?
Not only that but all of the endings were pretty terrible in general. Not only were they all uninteresting but they were conveyed exclusively through goofy picture montages. As for the narration, I'm still on the war has changed side (MGSIV). Kind of strange that they ripped that line off and didn't even manage to deliver a nearly as epic speech.
Yeah I never understood too well how radiant AI, the creation engine, or the supposed economy system work. I feel like they exist in some way or another but they are just archaic shadows of the concepts they propose. Hopefully we get something like that this time that feels more palpable during a play through.
Some great games tend to miss the BC boat. Like why can't I play Birth By Sleep or Crisis Core on a Vita? Licensing issues.
@JasonKCK Actually the majority were pretty upset and lashed out. Many also lashed out at MS for starting their role in the console market this way and some even lashed out at the Xbox fans asking why they would pay these fees and contribute to MS's success thus making paid online viable. So yes, a lot was said and things got pretty messy since the blame was thrown all around. I for one see it as a result of Sony failing in its other departments and probably nearing bankruptcy. There'...
I would love to see Rare return to its former glory. I wish them all the best with this IP.
@pogmathoin Doesn't detract from the initial argument that Kinect is fundamentally a rehash and as such is not innovative in any way.
Oh and logical fallacy for you. Comparing Kinect and Eyetoy in such a way is basically the same as comparing an Xbox 360 and GameCube and boasting about the tech difference despite there being an obvious generation discrepancy. Kinect did nothing more than eyetoy and that's why both have faded into obscurity (the PS4 camera playroom and...
It seems like some kind of nostalgia-esque attachment more than anything else. There's a reason the reviews and the sales aren't saying it's the best. Though to each their own. I just wouldn't ever put it at the top of Rare's impeccable backlog. Not even in the top 10.
