What do you think that would do to my reputation? Exactly. No one in their right mind would take me or my predictions seriously. Think about it...
I like the predictions for the Wii in Europe...between 200,000 and 900,000. Whew! I wonder how many board meetings they had to come up with that number? Now I would like to make a prediction of my own...the PS3 will sell between 0 and 500 million units before they stop production, the Wii will do something along the same line as the PS3, and finally, the 360 will sell between 6 million and 500 million units. I'll stake my job and reputation on those numbers. Wow, I got to go lay down now.....
PS3 was delayed once for Japan and Europe (still coming in November for the U.S.). But you forget to mention that the final dev kits were also delayed. When was the 360 final dev kits released and when were the PS3 final dev kits released? That is the question that we all need to ask ourselves. And the answer to that question is directly linked to how much time developers have had to finish a game and what games should and shouldn't be considered first gen and second gen.
this article reminds me, I can't wait for Kojima's first generation PS3 game to come out in late 2007/early 2008, MGS4. That first gen title is gonna rock!!!! Man, I feel sorry for the makers of PDZ, they are going to be sooooooooo owned by Kojima and team. Hopefully Factor 5 holds back their first gen game, Lair, for a couple of years to polish and finish, just so they can claim to have the bestest first gen title ever!!! Woohoo!!!
p.s. Be warned, this comment may or may not be...
Let's not start with the "Japan only likes Japanese products" thing. If you gave the Japanese people a choice between a Lexus (still called Toyota) and a BMW/Benz, 9 times out of 10, they'd choose the BMW/Benz. It's a matter of quality and styling. The Japanese still think that U.S. quality, in regards to automobiles and electronics, are in the sh!tter...kind of like how the average U.S. consumer still sees it. And really, can you blame them? When it comes to games, it's just a ...
He actually said college graduates, not college students. I myself being a college graduate understand the feeling of getting a job and becoming totally independent. Within my first year of holding a real job, I was able to purchase and set up a pretty nice home theater system. Granted, it pales in comparison to what I have now, but my first tv after college was still $2500 (36" HD Sony tube). For $2500 to $3000, you can get a nice 45-55" 1080p (native) rear projection tv. That...
Show me a link to that article. I think I remember reading something along those lines...I just can't find it. I bought Prey for the 360 and I can't imagine why the PS3 would be unable to run it. Good innovative game, just not all that great. As a side note, the studios that made Prey are not in the same league as Factor 5. Looking at the other games that they have produced should be evidence to that.
you're taking "hating" to a new level. I've known a lot of haters in my life but you may be the one that takes the crown! Seriously, most of the haters I've known usually have a decent reason for hating...you my friend are a one of a kind. I say this with only love in my heart. Hate on!
I couldn't have said it better myself. I think certain fanboys (both Sony and MS) should really keep track/notes of what they claim/say/believe. And to be realistic, since most of the bashing seems to center around the PS3, I guess I'm addressing the MS fanboys primarily. I personally don't give a rat's ass what a company spokesperson (hell, even the company itself) says about its product or its competitor's product. They can mudsling all day and night for all I care. Just give me a produ...
does the 360 have HDMI? Is it possible to add on HDMI? Not trying to be an ass, just don't want to go through the hassle of looking up that info...so basically, just being extremely lazy.
ooops, my bad, I guess you guys are keeping it relevent to the article. Sorry MS fanboys. It sucks to be you. But to be fair, this guy may be getting a little nudge from Sony to keep the hype machine going....or maybe he is just telling the truth (the truth as he knows it). Anywho, Lair is looking like a game to get. Can't wait.
to be honest, I wasn't too sure how this game was going to turn out but...man, is it looking good. It seems to be running at a pretty good clip. I do prefer stealth over run and gun but with this much action on the screen, I don't think I'll be able to turn it down. Hopefully those 22 gigs really did go into varying the environment. Not that there seems to be enough time in the game to sit down and notice/appreciate....
Because, as TheMart and Paul always say, "nothing is free, and if it is, it's probably crap"
p.s. I hope you can sense the sarcasm and irony in that...
I especially like how he cuts off the interviewer when asked about the importance of Blu-ray (more space) and whether Live will someday become a free sevice like the PS3 and Wii's. A little defensive? Or maybe just well rehearsed? The guy is most likely just tired of answering the same questions in which there is no good answer.
Where's the Mahjong game? This list is bogus. Anyone that thinks that Mahjong (probably at 1080p and running at 120fps) will sell less than 10 million is an idiot. Mahjong rules!
That is an atrocity! Why would you do this to us Sony?!? Why not just riddle our bodies with paper cuts and dip us in lemon juice?!? Strap us down, cut off our eyelids, and force us to watch "Crossroads"! Lock us up in a dark cell so we can wet ourselves while you continously play Paris Hilton songs! Anything would be better than receiving a free movie with a game purchase!!! God help us all!!!
Maybe Sony is trying to appeal to our subconcious, a deep rooted attraction inbedded in our DNA, our former lives as fish a millenia ago....hmmmmm.....shiny....goo ooooood!
"A port is getting the game with the original graphics from one system and just sort of 'copy' it on another where it will always loose some of the graphics. Always. Porting is for example a PC game directly on a console. Like Oblivion. Not optimized for the console hardly. It can never be better then the original that way. Never."
How about all the PS2 games that were ported to the Xbox? Did you not see an improvement there? GTA would be one example (not the best, b...
Vista.
I know, I know, this is a gaming site and we're talking about game related things...but if you're going to hate Sony's PR, you might as well hate MS's too. As a matter of fact, I just recently used a Bounty paper towel the other day, and low and behold, it did not remove the spilled milk better than the other leading brand. I suggest you hate on their PR team too. And if I recall correctly, it wasn't Ken who knocked MS's 2 sku idea, it was Phil. Not that it matters. Watching t...
Any EB games/Gamestop employees on here that know exactly how many units they are going to receive and whether they will really be able to enforce the employees have to wait till the 2nd shipment rule?
