the developers did do a great job but....IT CAN'T HOLD A CANDLE TO THE ALMIGHTY GoW!!! And if you can't face that fact, well...that's okay cause I'm just joking.

more like Nintendo going to IBM and asking them "what's going into the 360 and PS3? Really....and how much does it cost?" :gasp: "....what you got over there on the bargain rack? WE'LL TAKE IT!"

NBA2k7 may edge out NBA07 as the better basketball game but, GoW kicks both games in the a$$! That's right, I said it and I'll say it again. GoW dominates over NBA2k7 in every aspect (graphics, gameplay, physics, etc.). Hell, I'd even go far as saying that 2kSports will never ever be able to compete with the likes of GoW. There. Nuff said. Take that fanboys!!

having read/seen the hundreds of thousands of Motorstorm articles/pictures/videos, I feel a little burned out on this game, which is a little weird considering the fact that I've never even played it. Go figure.

should only really matter if it is intregal to the gameplay, i.e. physics based puzzles and attacks. It's nice to have metals bend and break when a large expolosion occurs, but I would rather have it come into the gameplay as an active agent, rather than a passive one. Half-life 2 comes to my mind when speaking of games using real-time physics to flesh out the game (using concrete blocks/steel barrels as weights on a see-saw like ramp to access passage to an out of reach level, etc.) The u...

Is that how you "shop" in the red-light district? Just kidding:)

First of all, let me start by saying that lying about your age does not make what you state any truer. Secondly, yes I have fired a variety of munitions (comes with the territory of serving your country), and I do have first hand experience/knowledge of what a shotgun can do to various objects (there's a gun range a couple hours from here in Wisconsin that is unsupervised, as it is pretty much a landfill). I do agree, a 12-guage shotgun could do hell on a standard metal sign (especially if ...

there is no way you would put a deep dent into a steel lamp post, nevertheless a big hole. Secondly, lamp posts (and traffic signals) are designed/engineered to bend/break at certain spots, in order to minimalize damage when car accidents occur. If you don't believe me, go take a shotgun and shoot up a steel lamp post or go take your car (if you're old enough) and ram it into said lamp post or traffic signal.

Did they interview Bill Gates? Because I swear that the word "super-well" is a Bushism. And when I read the title of this article, I thought he was refering to the external power brick and thinking to myself, why would Sony want to go to an external power brick when they figured out how to put it in the system.

And I have a feeling that even if doesn't break down, it'll break down a couple days before the warranty expires...if that makes sense:)

I'm not sure if you heard yet but, the PS3 was just released in the U.S. today. I remember similiar comments from diehard Dreamcast fans...it's not about what we core gamers know, it's about how the general public perceives it (and yes, the lies that Sony keeps on spinning in regards to the PS3's capabilities will probably never fully be disclosed to the general public).

I actually only waited in line for 2 hours (for the pre-order), but unfortunetly it was between some rather hardcore Wii fans. I actually endured 2 straight hours of some mad Mario and Zelda talk that would have probably sent the strongest of mind and will straight to the insane asylum and the rest to go postal. Thinking back on the experience (and the numerous nightmares since), I would have rather braved the cold Chicago nights and the possible/probable mugging.

but the first Xbox had an established online network and there is no need to buy a $300 console just to stream media from a Media Center PC. Those are just added bonuses. Whereas, in order to watch a Bluray movie, you need a Bluray player. PS3=$499. Cheapest stand-alone player=$1000. That is a big difference.

came out years earlier than DVD and had no competition. The disks were the size of vinyl records but were of the same quality of DVDs. It generally had very little movie support and was a tad expensive for its time. And as they say, size does matter, which in this case meant too big is no good.

We won't know the attach rate until the PS3 releases in the U.S. and the Japanese units hit ebay and get sold. Basically, until the units get into the hands of gamers. The only reason to buy a 360 is to either play games or sell on ebay for a profit to someone who wants to play games. The PS3 has the whole "watch a Bluray movie" factor, for better or for worse.

DVD had already become the standard? Are you sure about that? If I recall correctly, DVD's had sold only marginally better than LaserDisk's launch prior to PS2's debut. And once PS2 was on the market, the sale of DVD movies tripled in one year. This at a time when DVD players were still in the $400-$600 range. When DVD players first entered the market, you'd be lucky to find one under $1000. This scenerio sound familiar?

damn Sony and their decision to include CD...I mean DVD...I mean Bluray. What the hell are they thinking. What happened to the good ole cartridge?

It's not 100% bc? I'm going to EB right away to get a refund on my pre-order! Damn you Sony! Is 99% bc the best you could do? That is not good enough!

If I take out both the employees pre-orders, I'm number 4 on the list. I hope that that is good enough. Hell, I paid for it in full and pre-ordered RFOM. Worst comes to worst, at least I'll have a Wii...
