is a bit of a stretch, don't you think? Maybe the most well known videogame in the U.S., but the world? Show a picture of Master Chief to 100 random people and you'd probably get 30 who know who he is, show a picture of Mario and...you get the picture.
guys, before you jump all over WaggleLOL, have you taken into consideration that he may be from the future and that the PS3 is to him what Atari was to us? Or maybe he's just a troll as THAMMER1 mentioned....
...would it be to find out that the game looks exactly like what the camera recorded, quality-wise. PS2/Gamecube anyone? But seriously, I've played previous UT games and I got to say that the action is a bit too quick for my tastes. No doubt it's fun, it's just that I suck. I mean, I suck bad. The very first time I went online, I didn't know what I was doing and won 5 games straight. Since those first 5 games, I've only won every 25 or so matches. The very definition of beginner's luck...
I love news stories that are covered by people that do very little (to no) research. Excellent.
I heard about that incident. I think it was in small Asian country and the biggest problem was in its capitol city, Raccoon City. I'm pretty sure Sony was able to cover up the incident by sending the dreaded elite SDF to exterminate the survivors and then proceeded to nuke the entire city. I mean, come on, just because of a couple defective PS3s? I too thought it was a little overboard.
but being the realist that I am, this movie will probably make Brittney Spears' movie, "Crossroads", seem like a Academy Awards "Best Picture" winner. I mean seriously, does anyone expect this movie to be any good?
I really can't recall any of the story elements from either Halo 1 or 2. Master Chief, being the overly played out stoic super-soldier that he is, has absolutely no charm or charisma. The enemy's motivation is obviously universe domination (yawn). I ca...
"Women are difficult", but that doesn't mean I'm willing to switch...
But in all seriousness, if you're in a business, you go where the money is, and it seems to me as though there is enough money to be made in all three systems.
Regarding the "abandoning 24 million gamers" comment, Microsoft could have had the best of both worlds (as Sony is doing), buy releasing the 360 and still supporting the original. I'm sure that it would have come at a cost but to keep your fans/consumers happy, it would have been the right thing to do. Not all gamers are so hardcore (or rich for that matter) to go out and get a console in it's 1st of 2nd year. Imagine those that waited for the price to drop and shelled out their ...
That is the first logical comment I've read on this site in weeks. I couldn't agree more. Sony is already on a one way road to success/failure. There is no turning back now. Even if the PS3 doesn't own the competition as a gaming console (nevertheless win), it may just end up being the ace in the hand Sony needs to help move Bluray to the top as a HD movie format, in which case it would still be a win for Sony.
this is the reason why we should invade...I mean liberate the people of Canada. They are obviously living under a reign of terror (and there's also the fact that they struck first by unleashing the first dirty bomb known as Celein Deon). Down with Canada!!!
it's still a great game, the best technical fighter, in my opinion. To all those Xbox fans that were saying that DOA is better, now have a chance to find out how erroneous those statements were.
Wasn't VF5 a title Microsoft fans were saying was rubbish and not comparable to DOA?
I'm really just that lazy that I wouldn't mind being "demoted" to a position where I have less responsibilities and am getting paid the same if not more.
Not a single one. Can't say the same thing about the 360 though...sucker crashed 3 days after owning one which was then followed by the ring of death a couple months later. But I'm happy to report that all is well now. The PS3, Wii, and 360 are happily co-existing in my entertainment center. Too bad I can't say the same thing about the fanboys on here...
going from President to chairman and group CEO. The kind of demotion I wouldn't mind....
Having the day-to-day conundrum handled by someone else as you just sit in board meetings all day just nodding your head. Sony, hire me and then demote me!
I just recently beat Half-life 2 and think it was one of the best games I've ever played in my life. My hand's a little cramped from having it in the "eagle claw" position on the keyboard for so many hours but I am happy to report that a lack of rumble did not in anyway take away from the experience and joy that this game brought to me. I'm not saying that rumble is not a plus, I'm just saying that not having it is not a negative. I just turn the volume up and let the bass rumble...
I knew that it would somehow become a PS3 vs 360 discussion. That is truly pathetic. And for those that didn't/couldn't see that I was just being sarcastic with the GoW is better than 2k7 posts (get those blinders off boys!), now you know. And yes, 2k7 has been one of the best basketball franchises in quite a long time. Live and NBA07 are getting a little better but are not quite on par with this excellent series.
has nothing to do with this article...I'm just poking a little fun at the extreme fanboys that will bring up GoW at any sign of a 360 is better than the PS3 discussion. I figured it would come up sooner than later and that I might as well be the one to do it to show everyone how stupid it truly sounds/reads. Not that anyone will bother thinking before they type....
What are you doing on this site at this time of night on a Friday? And no, I'm not coming on to you. Just curious. Wanted to know if there were other people like me with odd work hours.
will undoubtedly go down in history as a great FPS trilogy, but I would argue that, set next to PC FPS counter-parts, it is just plain good. When I think of great FPSs, Half-life, Marathon, Deus Ex, and Counter-Strike are a couple that come to mind. But then again, I prefer to play FPSs on PCs when I can. A good excuse when I'm having my ass handed to me in Resistance. I will still get Halo 3 for the 360 though, knowing that I can't possibly wait for it to arrive for the pc. I just hope ...
