A couple of weeks ago, I was able to get a 1 year subscription to EA Access for $23.00. At that price, it was a no brainer. Really good value.

Because it isn't for sure a better deal. If the campaign isn't good (it is getting mixed reviews, some positives some negatives), and more importantly if the servers have difficulties like the HMC did, then it is definitely not a better deal. The Battlefront beta had no matchmaking issues that I found. Granted it was a long while back, but I did have a lot of issues with the matchmaking in the Halo 5 beta. So we can't decide what is a better deal until they both come out and a...

I have GHLive, and overall, I really like it when it works. The guitar it came with is registering extra hits on a lot of down strums, which can be frustrating. When I am not getting the extra hits, the game is great. The live part is surprisingly cool (even when playing Riannah and Katy Perry, which normally would probably have driven me up the wall), and the TV part is awesome. It is just a constant set of music videos with lots of songs I really like. I have over 40 on demand songs ba...

Nice. How do you like it?

Thanks to a mistake by a certain big box retailer, I was able to pre-order GH:live for $50 U.S. That was a nice price. Should ship tomorrow or Saturday.

The author (and most other articles, as well)is worrying about the wrong question when it comes to Guitar Hero TV. Everyone is fixated on the price, even though GHTV is total free. It only costs extra money to play songs on-demand rather than what they are streaming, and even that can be done within the game.

The real reason for concern about GHTV is possible technical limitations from streaming. How well will the game work when streaming? This is a rhythm game which req...

Other than really significant issues trying to get matches going, I have had a lot of fun. I don't have any friends in the beta, but still enjoyed it. As long as your teammates have mics and/or are willing to work as a team, the game is a lot of fun. I was really fortunate to catch a certain big-box retailer having a glitch on their website a few months back, and was able to pre-order the gold-edition of Siege for $45. I'll have it day one, and can't wait to play it when it co...

I read that you not only can be a spectator, but you can even turn off the note highway in GH Live, so you can just watch the videos, if you so choose.

Interesting...In the author's list, the only game I care about are Guitar Hero Live and Rock Band 4. The other 4 games just aren't in my world, so I have no interest in them, and no thoughts of contributing to their sales.

For the rhythm games, I have an interest in both. Last generation, I found the Rock Band franchise to far exceed the Guitar Hero franchise. They were far more innovative, I liked their sales/ dlc model, it worked better for multiplayer, and they ...

This is really just an argument of semantics. Whether it is a tv-show, or just like a tv show is really irrelevant. Calling it a tv show lets the future purchaser understand what they are getting. Expect the game to be interspersed with 22 minute live action sequences telling the villain stories that have high production value and real television stars. Yes there are differences between a "television show" and what you get with the game (QB live action will be adjusted based on ...

Interesting that they had Game of Thrones and Battlefield Hardline on the list (Didn't they both come out in 2014?)

My top 5 games of 2015 so far are Witcher 3, Bloodborne (somehow not included in this list!?!?) Galak-Z (Again, not included), Batman Arkham Knight, Helldivers (not included), and Ori and the Blind Forest.

I was in the same boat. I had never played it, and never even read anything about it. I bought it as part of the play promotion, so it was %20 off, or $12. I played it yesterday. My spoiler free thoughts...it took me a few minutes to figure out what was happening. About 15 minutes in some things started happening that gave me the chills. I finished the Journey in around 2 hours, and definitely plan on playing a second time through. I enjoyed it a lot. However, for me it is a little bi...

I played both Prototype 1 and 2. Both games were very mediocre. There were certainly worse games to come along than either of these , but there were also plenty better. Honestly, the only thing I specifically remember about Prototype 2 is that it had a black protagonist, while Prototype 1 had a white protagonist. I don't remember anything about the plot of the second game at all, but remember it was somewhat fun to roam the streets and do the assorted missions. I can't believe th...

@Cornholio, Spencer tweeted the congratulations shortly after the announcement and well before the show was over. He wasn't taking a passive aggressive shot at the rest of the show, but was just talking about Last Guardian.

For me, this generation I have both an Xbox 1 and a PS4, but previous generations, I only had Xbox. So I've never played Uncharted, and I had never paid any attention to The Last Guardian. I loved what I saw out of both of them. I really liked Fire Catcher and Horizon. Final Fantasy and Shenmue did absolutely nothing for me. Overall, I liked the show, and I liked XB1's as well. Neither were the greatest show of all time that the article tries to portray this one as.

My personal top 5:

1) The Division
2) Uncharted 4
3) Rainbow Six: Siege
4) Fallout 4
5) No Man's Sky

Can't include Dark Souls III, because they didn't really show anything, but I am sure it will be awesome.

Top 5 games I didn't know were coming but really impressed me:

1) For Honor
2) The Last Guardian
3) Horizon
4) Fire Catcher
5) Ashen

The suspend/resume is a cool feature, but even though I would really like to use it, it will be very limited for two reasons:
1) The function won't work for games that use on-line servers. Destiny, The Crew, Helldivers, Bloodborne (if you play on-line at least...not sure about off-line mode), and I think even Dragon Age required EA servers, but I don't remember for sure. Any game that requires server connections just won't work. When you come back, from suspending, you ...

Just as another 'news item', Suspend/resume won't work with Destiny, Hell-Divers, or Plants Vs. Zombies GW either.

I just finished the main story yesterday. I enjoyed it a lot more than most reviews would have indicated. Still may keep it around faction missions and maybe some multiplayer racing. I don't know how long, but probably a little while.

Due to go live today doesn't mean that it will actually go live today. Maybe it will, but there are no guarantees. March's PS+ offerings could arrive late this month if there is some contractual issue. We'll have to wait and see if the PS+ offerings come today or not.
