You can use it for the playstation app. It hasn't been confirmed that other second screen apps will be available for vita. For instance, Watch Dogs and The Division are PS4 games that will both have second screen apps, but we don't know that those apps will be available on the Vita yet. I am very hopeful that they will, but right now, we just don't know.

Thats not a bad idea. The only thing is most of the time when I play my vita its not in my house. Sometimes I don't have access to Wifi at all, and I am personally not expecting remote play to work well via Wifi. I am not saying it can't work, but I just expect it not to work well enough. I think it will work fine in my home, but at that point, I'd probably be playing the PS4. I'll test remote play on Thanksgiving when I go about 100 miles away with my Vita, and see if I ...

I might get it on Vita, but doubt I'll get it on PS4 unless it is somehow a crossbuy game. Already have it on 360, but don't play it that much. I liked playing Mortal Kombat on my Vita more than on the 360 too. But...it still is nice that there is another game available at launch for those that want it.

Does anyone know if we will be able to use the camera on shared videos as opposed to live streaming? As in we could record a video of our game play but add voice-over and maybe even put our face in the corner of the video from the game? I would like to be able add voice-over to game videos I decide to share, so I could talk about what I did and why I am sharing. And it is something I would want to be able to do after I recorded the video instead of while I am playing.

I won a $50 dollar amazon card from N4G at the start of the month too (I haven't actually received it yet, they said it would take a month to process. Did you actually get yours yet?). Getting a second dual shock with it, though.

Coming to the PS4 after having been on the 360 and original Xbox. I have heard a ton of good things about Journey, and really want to try it, so I hope it gets a PS4 release. Flower really wasn't on my radar at all, though. I'll keep an eye out for it and see if it looks like something I'll want to try.

I am in the same boat. Had an original Xbox on release day and have 2 Xbox 360s (the second 360 came free with my television). Didn't have a PS2 or PS3, but I do have a vita. But I am getting a PS4. Of the PS series, I am much more interested in finally getting God of War (played Chains of Olympus on my vita and loved it), Uncharted (played the vita Uncharted game and it was ok, but not the full experience I am imagining), Journey, and Infamous. I tried the beta for Killzone Mercenar...

I am only buying one launch game, and it is Watch Dogs. I'll pick up Assassin's Creed IV later, and maybe Killzone when it gets under $20. But at launch, its just Watch Dogs plus free games, for a few months.

He did say 'I’m happy to see Microsoft also making a push to make it easier for independent developers to self-publish on their next platform. As a game player I’m looking forward to both systems.' So if there is any significant bad blood, it wasn't hinted at in this article.

Just curious of how big the digital download for the crew will be, and how much has to be installed before you can start playing. Those two items were not in the story.

MrDead is correct. The question he was asked may have been why should you buy PS4 over XB1, but his answer wasn't why PS4 is better than XB1. His answer was why he thinks people should buy a PS4. He gave a very diplomatic response, and did not knock the competition in his answer. The headline is not representative of the information in the article.

Don't read the article people. The misleading headline alone makes the article deserved not to be read. If you want to know what he said, just read Mr. Dead's post in the comments. It covers the information in the article.

@jmc8888

That first paragraph was a quote of the person (user name Brutallyhonest) above me. I didn't say PS+ was a better value. I was saying what you were saying..that Brutallyhonest was incorrect to say that PS+ was the better value because the features were already unlocked.

"Also let's not forget that PS+ is an option and not a requirement. A lot of MS's features are behind a pay wall that requires the purchase of XBL. Again making PS+ a better value overall."

If you are going to pay for the services either way, what is and is not behind the paywall is irrellavant. It doesn't make PS+ a better value. It might make the PS4 without PS+ a better value than an XB1 without Xbox Live. But if you pay for the service of your sys...

Before commiting to an all digital library for the sole purpose of remote play, I would suggest making sure it works and works well if you are away from your home and trying to use wi-fi. I believe remote play will work fine in your home over your home network, but I have serious doubts about whether it will work when you are away. I am getting WatchDogs on disc day 1, plus Drive CLub free from PS+. I will try to use both using remote play in my home, and also from my Mother's house on...

For the record, Major Nelson has said he owns a PS3, and is planning on getting a PS4. He always says he is a gamer and loves games from all companies. So Ken Lobb isn't the only one who said something like this.

For the most part, I plan to buy physical copies of the big games, unless they give me a good reason to buy the digital version instead. Still, my internet connection is somewhere between 40 Mbs and 50 Mbs, so I don't think the download speed will be a major issue. But seriously, what is the incentive to buy the digital version? Will remote play work better on digital games, can we share them (without giving someone our password?) On either system, I just don't see the benefit rig...

On the Game Informer podcast this week, they said Deep Down is only announced for Japan at this point. They expect it to be announced for North America as well (even noting the voices in the audio were in English), but right now, it is not officially on the release schedule for NA. I don't know if that is correct or not, but this fact sheet didn't include anything about where it would be released.

As much as I am excited for The Order 1865, I don't know how they could include it in the list. Nobody has seen a second of it in action, so we have no idea how good it is. Sure it is highly anticipated, but who knows how good it is?

Personally, I have Deep Down, Infamous, The Witness (which may wind up not being exclusive, but is so far), Galak-Z (see the Witness), and Killzone as my 5 best exclusives.

Last gen launch titles had issues, but not all gen's launch titles are that way. I got an orignal Xbox (almost called it Xbox one!) on day one, and I bought Halo and Oddworld: Muches Oddyssey with it. Both of those games were great. The only Nintendo console I ever owned was the Nintendo 64, and that had Mario 64 on launch which was great (I can't remember if Wave Race 64 was a launch title or not, but I bought that very early as I recall and that was great too). I bought a dreamc...
