" Even if Natal's being implemented with traditional controller would you pay an additional ammount of $60(price for Natal?) just to wave your hands? That's stupid. Incredibly stupid... "
Well silly straw man arguments like the above are almost ALWAYS incredibly stupid. That's why making them is a waste of time. They almost never persuade anybody.
If they make up five or six new characters then I am ALL for a new Vampire/Darkstalkers game done up STIV style. Yes sir I miss Darkstalkers and Vs. Capcom games just aren't the same. I do have the Vampire Collection for Matching Service import on my DC when I get nostalgic though the online is dead.
Well waiting for next gen is probably dumb because I think next gen is probably a good long ways off at this point. But I'd probably wait until next year sometime. Yeah I know that Halo "cheated" GoW3 out of a 2010 slot by releasing stuff last year AND this year but Gears of War and Halo should avoid tripping each other up and risk cannibalizing each other's sales.
Or maybe the fans will buy them both this fall in vast quantities and I'm worried about nothing.

Okay so it's not a PS3 exclusive game being revealed in PSM3, rather it's an exclusive (to a magazine)article in PSM3 that reveals a multi-platform game that will coming to PS3. (F.3.A.R.)
Okay. I get it now.
The title was sort of confusing.
I think that what the game industry really needs right now are not higher resolutions and radically better graphics hardware. What they need are easier to use and more efficient dev tools and universalized quality standards that let them take maximum advantage of the resolutions and color depth they have now with more polygons and better AI and post processing WITHOUT needing more time and resources for systems programming.
Game content creation and multimedia creation needs to b...
Clueless irrelevant whining on a game forum is clueless irrelevant whining on a game forum. It doesn't matter what you happen to think is crap or why. It doesn't matter if you like the Jonas brothers. This is about evaluating the business potential of something based on its track record.
It's not about not you indignantly sputtering out some meaningless list of stuff you and your niece happen like or not like. Call it crap all you want and it won't matter and it won't change any...
The problem with this is that told "upgradable" he home PC is slowly becoming replaced by the lower cost "netbook" style laptop for most people. Computers are becoming cheap almost disposable personal appliances. They are getting highly commmoditized. Many of them do everything through bluetooth or USB rather than having a modular case.
I suspect we'll have an appliance that connects to a network and talks directly to your TV sort of like a console but much m...
Few $60 games fell like $60 worth of fun. Meanwhile $10 to $20 often seem like a better deal.
I see cheap Wii games in the grocery stores and dollar stores. Occasionally you'll see some PS2 games. You NEVER See 360 or PS3 games there. You seem to not understand that the Wii is hitting mass culture and the other consoles generally haven't yet. No one cares if you or your niece thinks Wii is a toy or a fad. You and your niece don't matter. To the mass market it's the preferred system. about 60% of the home consoles out there are Wii's. Might Nintendo screw up with their nexxt console? S...
'Kate' is supposed to be Milo's simulated dog.
I don't do that. I rather doubt many people do.
Dude what you 'laid out in english' is wrong.
The object of buying points is not to have points it's to have a cash value that you can spend buying content. The Wii points you get are worth less than MS pts. Why?
1 Wii pt. = 1/100 ($1)= $.01.
1 MS pt. = 1/80 ($1)= $.0125
$.0125 > $.01
An MS point is worth 25% or 1/4 more than a Wii point is worth in US dollars.
Sure you get more of them for your $1 with Nintendo but ...
No one cares about your ridiculous animus for Halo games and Bungie. 'Tell your grandma about it when she gets home from work. Maybe she'll listen.
Maybe YOU should take a class on how not to read threads you obviously have no interest in. The rest of us go to Halo threads to talk about Halo because we like Halo and want to hear about it and you're kind of harshing our collective mellow here with all your inane posturing crap. We don't care if you like Halo. We don't care if you think we should stop liking Halo. We don't care if you are mad at Bungie. We are here to discuss a Bungie update, not the personal ghosts that haunt you.

Stop teasing the freaking announcement. Announce or announce not. There is no "soon".
Sorry Yoda.
I think production costs and inefficiency is what is destroying the game industry. Most games cost too damned much to make compared to what they will rake in, and the industry has failed to correct that by becoming more efficient. Currently publishers they have to have a hit and several mediocre success to pay for the costs in all the games that no one wants to buy. Establishes new properties is like wildcatting. It is a very risky process with lots of failures for every success. That risk is...
This is a very dumb editorial based mainly on some rather arrogant assumptions that probably do not apply to most gamers/customers. The market pretty obviously REWARDS the development and marketing of sequels. I'm afraid that my impression is that the author is gratuitously spitting into the wind and hopes to be anointed as some sort of intellectual rebel for it.
I agree. Once a console hits 25 million or so it's usuallt in the clear for the rest of that generation. 25 million install base is enough to ensure that a console will get enough developer support to stay a viable console for the rest of its life cycle. So far Nintendo won, MS made some progress but not as much as they'd hoped, Sony stumbled out of the lead due to their pricing, but NOBODY failed and EVERYBODY is in it for the long haul now and looking good as far as getting developer and r...
This article is just a lot of dumb whining. Next we'll probably hear whining about the overabundance of zombies, cops, thugs, angels, demons, aliens, robots, cowboys, mobsters, rockstars, race cars, aircraft, wars, vampires, animals, cartoon characters, abstract board game pieces, plants, dirt, water, swords, wings, clouds, cameras, colors, sounds, dead bodies, angles, curves, polygons, post processing filters, tires, park benches, windows, shadows, guns, everyman characters, normal people, a...
