RAD is competent enough but maybe not the best fit moving forward with this IP. I wouldn't have an issue if Sony allowed them another crack at it. I also wouldn't have an issue if Sony brought development in house. Sony is the master of the third person, action adventure, narrative driven game after all. Either way there needs to be a part 2.
Looks good. If the price is right I will bite.
Get another publisher.
Well here we go again. EA acquires a developer and IP...over iterates the IP to the point of franchise fatigue and irrelevance...grinds the developer into dust and destroys whatever goodwill the studio had with its fans prior to the acquisition. They will starve us of content but shower us with micro transactions and mediocrity...mediocrity from a studio that is now overladen and overstaffed...a studio that was once creative and burgeoning. Oh well.
There are way too many sub services but the speculation surrounding a Switch streaming app actually seems very viable and would have the most impact. Collaborating with Sony could also bring value to that platform but not as much as the aforementioned collaboration with Nintendo.
I escaped Destiny 1 and never looked back...I won't be going down this road again.
This article stinks of elitism and ignorance. More, prettier, faster things on screen do not an evolution make. Something wholly original and unique must come about in the way games are made or the way we interface with them. Consoles are not the impediment.
PC gaming owes a lot to consoles and vice versa. Without one, gaming would never have become a viable, relevant entertainment medium. Without the other it could never exist. There is symbiosis here. I will conced...
Yes please!!
I haven't played Red Dead yet so my choice is God Of War. Even if I played RDR2 I believe GOW would be my choice for 2018. The poignant moments abound in this game and the voice work only helps to punctuate these moments. I've played and thoroughly enjoyed every GOW to date (even the PSP versions) and I may be one of the few that never had any issue with the prior characterization of Kratos. So he was angry, selfish and 1 dimensional. His character was also unstoppable and singul...
Cyberpunk 2077 releasing on current gen hardware. I've made the decision that I will not be buying a next gen console at launch. I refuse to double dip and I want the most powerful option available so I will wait a couple years to see each platform's plans for mid gen refreshes. Knowing that I can play this game this generation was the best bit of news this year.
This may not be huge industry jarring news but the Metro Exodus delay shook me to the core.
Digital Extremes. Warframe is a lot of game...for free. I am not a fan of the game itself but I cannot deny that DE is giving a tremendous amount of value for little or nothing.
They fixed a lot of the issues and brought the game closer to what was originally promised. The consensus is that the game is now in a better than acceptable state. Hello Games, to their credit, worked tirelessly to right many of their wrongs and regain some amount of trust from their consumers and the industry as a whole. So did they deliver? Not in the beginning, not for a long time and as of today not entirely. Redemption comes from their desire to keep their promises even if those pr...
I saw a team that had grand ideas but lacked the funding and time to realize those ideas before release. Sean Murray should have toned down the boastful, duplicitous rhetoric and speak more on what would be feasible and present at launch. Many devs have intentionally misrepresented aspects of their projects but to Hello Games' credit they are one of the few that worked towards fixing the issues and fulfilling their promise to the consumer...for the most part.
Hello games. Even though they redeemed themselves in the end NMS launched without the majority of what was promised.
Nolan North.
The entire VO cast for the original Resident Evil.
Ready At Dawn. Their technical proficiency and world building skills were unparalleled earlier in this generation. They might have missed the mark on story in The Order but everything else was super polished. I want a follow up to that game and I would like them to have an opportunity to redeem themselves.
lol. I wholly agree

I am not the biggest fan of multiplayer or co-op but if their inclusion adds legitimate value then so be it. RAD is actually a very talented and competent studio. 1886 was their freshman~sophomore attempt at true large scale, big budget triple a development. Yes, they made God of War games but they were all for handheld. 1886 was a technically sound and impressive first attempt. If they were given another chance they could and most probably would fix the glaring i...
