Crunch is never worth it. It’s a cancer on the industry. And sadly one that most companies have.
@dark “ No one is buying them....”
You’re the one saying that, not me. I said that supply has improved vastly.
You said supply hasn’t improved which given that they’re permanently in stock in the US, means no one is buying them.
Obviously that isn’t true - we’re just now back to normal levels of supply for electronics where games consoles are readily available - like they were pre-COVID.
Not sure why you’re so against...
If the controller is the best part of the game, the game itself can't be that good.
Callisto is a good game on it's own.
@darth I actually agree with you. I am basing my perspective on the US.
I also noted below in my other comment that I do believe they are flooding the US with supply at the expense of other regions.
Correct... you play games... because games are the fun part.
The controller is just the input mechanism. Otherwise, you'd just play with the controller and have nothing on screen.
Obviously the best part of a game, is the game.
I'd be down for more Sonic Mania. Best Sonic game in a long, long time.
However, it has to be handled better than the anniversary collection was.
@darkrider Enough units are available that it is staying in stock permanently.
So either there is good availability of units, or no one is buying it - take your pick. What one is it?
Probably. It also feels like they've been prioritizing the US in terms of unit distribution, which makes sense given the size of the country/economy and the fact that we've just had Black Friday.
It's become all-up much easier to find electronics nowadays though. Remember how bad graphics card supply was during the early days of COVID?
We've been spoiled for survival horror games lately. Signalis, Callisto, and then Dead Space and RE4 are coming out soon. What a time to be alive!
*screech, screech, screech*
Sorry, just moving the goalposts back to where they were before you moved them.
What difference does being in a physical shop make? It's readily available online via various retailers at MSRP.
The PS5 you get from PS Direct is the exact same PS5 you'd get from a shelve in Gamestop. Therefore, supply is readily available.
Afraid of Sony? Why would I be afraid of Sony? Are they going ...
It's available to buy right now on PS Direct, Walmart etc without any problems.
"The Calliso Protocol's best feature isn’t even in the game, it’s the controller."
Err, no. We play games, not controllers.
While I disagree with their above statement, the haptics in CP are well implemented.
Been saying this for ages about the supply issues being resolved. It's easy to find a PS nowadays here in the states. Sony have now stated the same.
It also seems like PSVR2 either has insane supply or isn't selling out as they expected. Got a 2nd invitation today, and this one has validity until near the end of February.
@Kurt Tencent in particular is worrisome IMO. I'd much rather be forced into buying a console from Sony/MS/Nintendo to play a franchise/IP than ever end up in a situation where a substantial amount of our games are designed and developed by a company with such strong ties to the CCP - even if they don't have their own console (which they will some day).
@TheExecutioner Apparently you don't know much about business either since you can't provide any contradictory evidence and believe that T2 are going to sell for below what they're valued at. If that's the case, why don't MS or Tencent or someone just buy them today? Rockstar Games, 2K and Zynga at below market value sounds like a great bargain!
@Behind I said 20-25%, which is where they typically land. Right now, their stock tanked yesterday, so they...
@Red That appears to be a mistake though, that's literally the only mention of it on PS4. Even all the official developer websites, social media etc don't mention it.
Highly unlikely it's out on a platform and they mention it no where whatsoever.
'Common sense' yet I have never seen anyone suggest this as a possibility - yourself included.
“They can purchase Take-Two if a deal is struck”
Why would Take2 agree to a deal that results in them selling for below what they’re worth? Obviously that won’t happen when they can just not sell or sell to a company who is willing to pay their true valuation.
Literally no chance of Sony acquiring Take2. You’re talking about making an acquisition that is 20-25% of Sonys market cap at any given time - not PlayStation, but Sony all up.
They don’t have the money for that.
