@Crows90
"So you're telling me the MS is being deceitful"
Yes. Them and every other corporation, including Sony lol.
@crazyCoconuts Depends on the country. There's some regions where PS5 is on discount even outside of Black Friday.
"If you're an Xbox gamer you have nothing to look forward to, at all."
Starfield? Forza? Redfall?
Black Friday was indeed the reason for the temporary price cuts.
It is at the expense of gamers yeah, they're playing the long game on the acquisition because they know they have a fight coming up in US courts.
They're likely willing to take the short term hit of not announcing anything and reducing marketing for Starfield etc in the short term, if it means their $69bn acquisition stands a better chance of going through.
I'm not saying it's right, it certainly isn't for us gamers, but it's a tac...
The 'sources' part here is weird. I was close to marking this as an anonymously sourced rumor, but then it turns out the source is actually the EU commission...
Redfall + Forza + Starfield is already $210 worth of content.
And that's a very small portion of the overall games that will come to GP in 2023.
Title is kinda misleading here because we already know Switch won Black Friday. The NPD numbers are for November all up - which PS5 did win. But November all up is not Black Friday.
Looks like you replied to the wrong comment - there is nothing funny in my comment.
He mentioned at TGA he has another entirely new project in development - likely Overdose / the new project he announced at E3 this year.
Very likely is down to the FTC (and other regulatory) reviews. The weaker you look compared to your competitor on the big stage, the more you can play the "oh woe is me" card in court.
It kinda does make sense though, they want to appear weak compared to Sony, announcing 5 (or whatever number) games makes them look more like they're on a level playing field.
Yeah the idea that a game needs to be full price to be good is just garbage.
There are plenty of awful full price games. Price tags do not define quality / lack of quality.
I imagine that’ll come alongside COD hitting the service. Imagine how many people are going to take a GP sub instead of paying $70 for COD annually.
I agree with you though - it’ll still be a worthwhile service.
That sounds like one hell of a tinfoil hat theory.
We’ll put it to the test next year when Starfield is up, assuming there’s an Elden Ring quality title up against it.
“ Have those games not already released on playstation?
Doesn't Sony have a ton they are not showing? ”
Yes and yes - do either of those statements invalidate or contradict what I wrote? Nope.
“Your stick is boring, every single article”
I comment as I approve articles. No one has a gun to your head forcing you to read my comments. Feel free to move along.
And yes, I agree, I’ve said it time and...
I like how anyone who says anything even remotely negative or critical of a Sony exclusive “must not own a PS5”.
Meanwhile back in the real world, I have criticisms of most products I own.
I feel like we’ve heard that before :p
“ no one wants them in the PC gaming market either”
You do realize if they stop investing in the PC gaming space, about 99% of games go too? DirectX is the result of Microsoft’s Gaming investments on PC.
The irony also being that you use a bunch of Microsoft made tools to create PS games also - so PS5 games are basically gone too. Same with Nintendo.
“The gaming industry was there before Microsoft. It would be there after they are gone...
@Lightning
"until those games ate in my hands those games don't exist to me sorry"
You've created a catch 22 situation.
You want to know what games there are to look forward to, but games don't exist until they are released.
So by your logic, there are never any games to look forward to on any platform, because games don't exist until they are released, at which point you can no longer 'l...
