I dunno what they're talking about, Craig looks great with long hair and some makeup.

"Forspoken devs looked at two PlayStation exclusives to learn what made them good and then did the complete opposite and made something lackluster"
Fixed the headline for them.
@Outside "The action adventure game jumped two places to No.1 thanks to the arrival of more PS5 stock at UK retail. The game also features in a PS5 hardware bundle."
The article said it, not me.
I feel the same. I got into PUBG at the start because it was something new, but I can't really get into WZ or Apex etc.
I'd much rather play the 'core' MW2 multiplayer than WZ - but I also know I'm in the minority I guess given the numbers WZ pulls in (being F2P helps too).
@Flawless What were the studios prior to acquisition? They were independent studios.
“Every massive ip Sony has has been built under them, and not prior to acquisition.”
Destiny says hi. One of the top 5 played games on both consoles.
It doesn’t matter anyway. Acquisitions are a completely normal part of this industry.
Sony has done tens of them, Microsoft has done tens of them. Both will make tens more of them.
When a meme becomes a full game lol.
@ripped Can you show me the announcement that Starfield and Redfall were coming to PS5?
Also MS did honor games that were announced for other platforms - DeathLoop and Ghostwire.
Ironically if my memory is correct, that means every Zenimax game released under MS has been a PS launch exclusive :p
That awkward moment when you realize that most of Sonys studios are the result of acquisitions…
You’re right about investing in studios, but wrong about investing in engines.
You don’t need to invest in a custom engine to make a good game. The majority of studios don’t do this.
Also realistically, we’re going to see studios standardize more and more on UE. Including Sony - maintaining an engine has astronomical costs and realistically, Epic has more manpower they can put on it (mainly thanks to fortnite dollars) and their tech is miles ahead of any ...
And yet here you are, taking the time to read and reply to my comments 😂
Where did I say that it wouldn’t sell well? It is selling well.
The positioning in the chart and its movement is tied to the availability of consoles. The article says it too if you took the time to read it.
Is that a surprise though? Why would you buy a game for a console you don’t have?
Yep, 100% unsurprised. It’s good that we seem to be through the supply issues - for tech all up.
I still have PTSD from trying to get a graphics card during the pandemic.
Definitely. The bundle being easily available is helping drive console sales for sure.
It almost feels like they’re pivoting their supply towards bundles over standalone, looking at the availability of the GoW and COD bundles.
I guess it’s down to PSN not supporting PC.
It’s probably using Steam multiplayer on PC and since PSN isn’t present on PC the only real two options they would’ve had would be to use PlayFab (Microsoft) and EOS (Epic) - which they probably didn’t want to do since they’re competitors - they’d also have to patch the PS version to use the same tech.
And yes, ironically Microsoft and Epic make the two leading multiplayer solutions on PlayStation…

That works both ways though.
A computer is a general purpose computing device and can do 100x the things a PS5 can.
PC can play online for free.
Games look and run better on a good spec PC
Games are more customizable on PC, both in terms of settings and modding etc.
Games can be cheaper on PC. The cost of software is an ongoing cost.
PC’s are upgradable while your PS5 is stuck at ...

I do believe the deal will go through. Perhaps with concessions in some regions - but it will go through.
32gb just screams unoptimized. We have games that look better than this and/or are more resource intensive on PC today with lower requirements.
Although it does say it’ll work fine on 16gb.
No cross play is a bummer though. Sony needs to work that out.
It keeps erroring out when trying to add a report so posting here instead - apologies.
This is old - it’s from Dec 5 which is before the FTC made their announcement on the deal (Dec 8).
We already know the outcome.
I was skeptical about the RTX modding stuff when they announced it, but this actually looks pretty cool. MP in particular.
Also shoutout to SWAT 4, still one of my favorite tactical shooters to date.
