I was kinda surprised MGS wasn't in there, it's the first game I think of when I hear "PS1". On the other hand, it's probably down to Konami not Sony. They've also been pulling the HD titles etc from digital storefronts.

This is pretty neat, I wonder how 'involved' the trophies are, e.g. are they just 'finish level' or does it actually have knowledge of the gameplay and can do things like 'Kill X enemies', 'Finish level X only using the tazer" etc.

Also related... I hope when they put this on the store it sells a bucketload and we get a remake bundle and sequel.

Interesting, thanks for clarifying. Isn't that system kinda similar to what we still have, but I guess it currently has less community input?

People who are more active seem to have higher comment limits per article. I'm also just guessing that more comments results in the increased amount of allowed comments, I could be wrong.

I basically started ignoring up/downvotes a while back, it really means nothing in either direction, same with YouTube etc.

@Christopher Out of interest, what's the relationship between moderators like you, cl1983 etc and the owners? I thought you guys WERE the owners. Who owns N4G then?

Also since we're having a conversation about how the site works. Does a certain threshold of people marking something as inappropriate/spam auto-hide it? Or does ...

What was the bubble system? Can someone explain?

MS Gaming is not an entity, nor does it have a stock price or anything. And MS generates revenue roughly equivalent to an Activision purchase every 3 months... the parent company resources are what matters, same with PS + Sony.

So while there's no point in going back n forth here because neither of us can see the future. I will place a prediction though, that as above, we will see more acquisitions by both Sony and MS within 12 months of the current pending acquisitions...

They just opened up a role for someone to identify targets for acquisitions ( https://www.videogameschron... - they are not done. Neither are Sony.

That being said, we won't see any new acquisitions from either while the existing ones are still under Federal review.

"Even MS cant justify being in the red after 4 generations...

I am interested to see how many COD titles appear on GP, and how far back they go.

There's a bunch of older COD games I had on PS2/3 I'd love to go back and re-play nowadays, but Activision being Activision keeps COD prices overpriced forever. Even looking at CODWaW from 14 years ago, it's still $20... and sure that's not a lot of money, but it's 1/3rd of a brand new retail game for a 14 year old game, it feels like you're being ripped off.

Oof, they got me with this headline. I initially thought they'd unveiled a new Fallout game set in London (which would be super cool).

The mod looks great though, I wish we had more games (not just the FO series) set in London.

Justify to who? They can spend their money however they want. And both MS and Sony have said they are not done with acquisitions.

I love that as an industry, we've reached a point where adding accessibility features is commonplace, and we actually have developer blog posts entirely dedicated to covering them.

Keep it up!

For me... not really. I had forgotten it even existed until reading this article, and realistically, I bought RE2/3/Village for the story modes, not for the typical, tacked on, awful RE multiplayer games.

If Capcom wants to deliver an MP experience, give us an Outbreak 1+2 remake package, or Outbreak 3.

MS have bucketloads of cash. But the reality is neither company can acquire anything until the pending acquisitions go through federal review.

Game delays are the topic. If I’m off topic then you are too - I’m replying to your comment thread.

I reported the article since after reading it, it is the same as another article covering this which was failed for being a dead horse topic.

We’ve discussed this to death already, this article adds nothing we didn’t already know and discuss.

I guess that year isn’t coming huh? Shocker.

It’s basically a given that Sony and MS will make more studio acquisitions once their pending acquisitions close.

Nintendo is the only one of the big three who won’t be making acquisitions.

They did indeed release this year… which meant the 2nd half of last year was bare.

It’s not like delaying those titles had zero impact.

Microsoft has 100bn worth of studios!? Where!? Who!?

The topic is game delays in the industry. We are discussing game delays in the industry.

No one forced you to reply to Jin.

Still waiting on you telling us which year had no games btw.

“The issue isn't the delay, it's the fact that Microsoft as of now has no games releasing this year. Yes, Horizon and GT7 were delayed”

So if Horizon and GT7 actually came out on time, what would PS Studios have launched so far this year? An annual sports franchise that is available on Switch and Xbox too?

And yet, Xbox had the highest scoring exclusives for 2021. Pretty impressive for having no games.

So what you’re saying abou...

This is a pretty neat find. Sad that we'll likely never see it finished, and likely never get another real MGS game.

A hardcore sim shooter with mod support coming to console is interesting.

Never thought ARMA would be on console.
