It’s easier to get excited for JFO 2, Respawns Star Wars FPS, Dead Space remake, Dragon Age 4, Titanfall 3 etc than anything Ubisoft has announced or is rumored to be working on.
ACV is from 2020. The rest of the games are ancient.
EA Play typically gets games around 6-12 months after release.
And rumors are that Ubisoft+ is coming to GamePass too, if it’s the same games as here I’ll say the exact same thing.
Well one would assume those gaps will be far smaller once GP has Xbox Studios + Zenimax + Activision pumping out games on it.
We also don’t really know what’s coming to GP this year though, we’ll likely learn more at their E3 conference assuming they do it like last time and announce that most games are GP games.
We’re also still coming out of the COVID period and delays unfortunately are still common - so I’ll cut them a bit of slack on it, same thing I ...
Nice to see Syphon Filter in there - they remembered it exists! we need a reboot!
Aside from that though it’s still a no from me until 1st party day 1. Native PS3 would probably make me subscribe too.
Not really a great set of titles included, but Ubisoft games are lacking all up in recent times.
The EA play deal in GP seems better since you don’t have to wait for a game to become “classic”.
This is a big move by Sony though. They’re doubling down on the GamePass model and want in on the action.
“ Again Sony isn't chasing game pass, that's your projection”
Todays Ubisoft news kinda says otherwise huh ;) publisher services being rolled into another content subscription, where have we seen that before!?
but you’ll still claim they aren’t serious about subscriptions I guess.
“ Have you ever considered that you might not be a PlayStation fan at all?”
I know what I am :) I game near exclusively on my PS5, ...
Well deserved. Congrats to the team!
😂😂 Your comment made me laugh! Thx
Im going to give this game a try since it’s on game pass.
Going in completely blind having never played a Sniper Elite game before but a few folk on here have suggested it’s a fun game.
I’m remaining cautiously optimistic on this one I guess.
I believe the screenshots and leaks are real, and a new SH game is in development.
The cautious side of me however doesn’t trust Konami to actually deliver a decent SH experience, nor to outsource this to a developer capable of doing a decent SH1-3 like experience.
I guess we’ll find out more details soon enough.
Plenty of other devs and articles have stated the complete opposite of this article.
The fact that like you said, PSNow existed way before GP and yet got completely leapfrogged by GP and Sony are now chasing the taillights is… bad. But we’ll get there and will have the same value as GP on PS one day.
As for Sony not pushing content subscriptions more… what? They just chose to push PSNow more than they have done since it’s inception.
“ And since I buy games and support developers, I always have games to play.”
Yawn, such a dead narrative. Developers don’t put their games on GP and PS+ for free.
Pure speculation on your part.
What facts we do have show that the complete opposite of what you’ve said has been happening.
- GamePass day 1 games were the highest rated games for 2021, more than big publishers like Sony, Nintendo, EA, activision etc
- GP games haven’t been flooded with MTX. Infact the most egregious example of MTX and that with the most backlash in recent times was a $70 Sony game…
I’ll go with fact...
Plenty of other devs have said they love GP and that it was great for their titles.
Yeah I’m sure Sonys new push for content subscriptions is nothing to do with how strongly game pass is performing, how positive the consumer has been about it and the fact that it outpaced PSNow subscribers 10x in far, far less time… /s
Well that hasn’t happened thus far - the highest scoring first party games of 2021, Infact the only 90+ 1st party games, were all game pass day 1.
So by your logic, dollar store games were better than anything put out by Nintendo and Sony.
Like I said, the industry is going in this direction and others are now copying game pass. So best get used to the idea of subscribing for games.
“ If not, you should get PS+ Premium too and get demos of games like this.”
I don’t pay for demos lol, that defeats the point.
I’ll be staying in the MP + monthly games only tier until they introduce first party games day 1 - until then it’s miles off of where it needs to be.
Being a huge PS fan doesn’t mean I’m not still a consumer who appreciates value.
Well whatever GP may or may not be - it and it’s model are here to stay.
Game devs are mostly happy, consumers are over the moon and Microsoft are selling more Xbox’s than ever thanks to it - so are likely happy too.
And with others now copying it, the model is here to stay.
It’s good to finally be getting good deals as a consumer.

Meanwhile, back in the real world - devs make good money on GP, are generally happy and get great visibility, marketing and promotion on the largest content subscription out there.
So much so that others such as Sony are now attempting to replicate the success of GamePass.
Well he is right, the title is clickbait.
The title says it’s down to GamePass. The article states:
“We are a small indie team and we couldn’t find the time and budget to make that port.”
Also his game launched before GamePass even existed, so I doubt it cannibalized his sales.
The average wait is 6 months on EA play, upper bound 9.
That’s not bad, it means games on EA play are a lot newer than Ubisoft+ Classic.
But that’s the thing. It’s Ubisoft+ CLASSIC. It’s not a comparable product to EA play, nowhere close.
The comparable product to EA play would be the standard Ubisoft+ which is not part of the PS+ subscription.
