They both look great. And this game had support for over 720p and 1080p lol - it supported PS4pro and Xbox One X with resolutions of 1600p and 1800p.
So no, this is not a 720p Xbox One version upscaled and literally none of your points are correct nor make any sense.
Loved Black Mesa, looking forward to playing through a modern Blue Shift also.
It set the bar, in that it's the only event thus far, but it wasn't a high bar.
Most of the games were cross-plat - and no shocking / mic drop announcements, which I assume the other events will have, at least some of them.
Increasing your target audience / addressable market and making more money is always a bad idea when you're a for-profit corporation /s

I'd also like to see them do an entirely new 3rd person RE to be honest, the first person ones are good, but a new 3rd person entry could be great. Perhaps after CV.
SMMM isn't even 2 years old. And that window is getting smaller and smaller - Returnal is next, screenshots have already leaked - that game is a year old.
It's clear from their investors presentation that the window will eventually be day 1 - they want 50% of their game revenue to be from non-PS platforms.

Well, we had seen leaks about it a while back via the Capcom hack.
It also seems like they prefer releasing RE remakes in abnormal release windows, presumably for less competition / crowding - which is fair.
The official website states it’s coming to PS5, XSX and Steam.
No Switch or last gen consoles.
The ones that are online only and locked behind the Walmart+ subscriptions are easy to get with no crazy rushing or effort.
I’ve consistently gotten the maximum per drop with ease.
You’re right that they have a backlog of games to port. But the rate of porting has upticked and Sony themselves said in their recent investor presentation that by 2025 50% of their revenue will be from non-PS console games.

Overall I'd rate this as a 5/10. I went in not expecting crazy things like the PS5 Pro and Silent Hill (thanks Twitter), but the games were mostly average & things we already knew about.
The clear winner for me was RE4. Also Tunic coming to PS is good news - I've played through it on PC and highly recommend checking it out on PS upon release if you haven't already!
