nice
I fail at math.
I meant 11. Nice catch. Those Xs and XIs and XIIs get confusing sometimes. =D
Excellent review. I wholeheartedly agree.
But if I may add something to this...
The whole "parkour" gameplay concept was doomed to be frustrating during the first-time playthrough. You noted this as well: "Ultimately I found the game frustrating, but in a good way". Just like street skating, the experience is meant to be based on trial-and-error until you find the best path for the best experience.
The flipside of this is that the SE...
2010 would actually be a really good move by MS, as long as they keep a $399 pricepoint for their new console, and it is able to support native 1080p games out of the box (Gears 3 at 1080p!!).
You see, the problem with the 360 is that, after 2009, the roadmap quickly thins out and there are very few notable exclusives to talk about from 2010 and out. So, unless they introduce their next system in 2010, they'll leave the PS3 to "dominate" from 2010 and until they do b...
WELL YOU ARE WRONG!!
You are NOT the only one who thinks so!!!
(because I do too) =D
Yeah, the addition of lighting sources is quite noticable, and it makes the game look less gray overall, at least in this segment. But then, again, this is like the first 2 minutes of the game.
BUT, I think all the shots are quite noticably more CLEARER than it was in the preview version. I do not think this is because of improved textures, but rather because they toned down some of the post-processing.
Which, if true, might actually be a good thing because KZ2...
I assume you are being sarcastic. I've owned both as well, and I tend to agree with the other dude. Neither has really impressed me.
And BOTH were casual systems.
Pikmin has great on the GC though, I'll give it that at least.
Sega did not release Sonic on any other system until their hardware division was killed.
Therefore, by the time Sonic came out on Nintendo/Microsoft/Sony's system's Sega itself was no longer a console manufacturer, making it just another 3rd party developer.
Online co-op would be the wisest move at this point.
I mean, there's always a way to wash down the graphic quality slightly to make split-screen look respectable. Halo has been turning off some of the post-processing effects in their split-screen, and it has kinda worked. But I totally agree... I'd rather see GG get it right with one screen first, then work on split-screen when they have the time. Either through a patch or in KZ3... but not for KZ2 at launch.
well... here's the wiki definition of 2nd party.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wik...
BUT, the term "2nd party" is not really a real term (the wiki page notes this as well). It's the same reason why first-person shooters and third-person shooters exist, but not second-person shooters. (okay i botched that analogy, but still)
Only 1st party and 3rd party are commonly ...
Just out of curiosity, how does Dead Space end?
Describe the exact last scene before the credits roll.
(and don't bother reading wikipedia for it, because it doesn't contain your answer; I just checked)
And do the same for Siren: Blood Curse too, for that matter.
I'm asking because I find it really hard to believe that you actually played anything other than the two you decided to mention (AITD and Cond 2). IMO, If you'd actually played the other t...
I started out cringing, but toward the end I couldn't help but be happy for them (especially the last one lol; BTW, was that baby saying "no Nintendo Wii?").
I'm actually not sure if this is a dupe.
This is NOT the original Japanese version of Famitsu. It appears to be the Chinese-translated version. Assuming this Chinese version itself is not a dupe, then I would assume the score is indeed what Famitsu gave WKS.
But I'd like to see this be confirmed by someone who has the Japanese version available (someone please go to a local Japanese bookstore and check! ^^)
@ hfaze:
"Really? PS1 and PS2 say hello... "
LOL... you don't even realize that you are agreeing with me.
Recently got upgraded (or maybe much earlier, but I didn't notice until recently). They now have almost 800 movies in their library, and a lot of them are really good. I actually almost downloaded one myself (their pricing improved as well: $3.99 for SD rental).
But at the end of the day, DD is really for those movies that I would rather RENT. It's never going to compete with Blu Ray for me. If anything, it's stopped me from going to Blockbuster video.

Always involved losing money at the front end.
If memory serves me well, the PS1 was underpriced for about 30 months before they started making money from it.
That said, I believe Sony has already stated that they are BREAKING EVEN with each PS3 sold now. (read: they are not losing money on it anymore)
But that is exactly the problem: They SHOULD be willing to continue losing those monies in order to penetrate the mainstream. THEN capitalize on their ins...
Trophies are bad.... I need to get more.
BTW, was Uncharted's Crushing really not that hard?
Maybe I should go and grab that platinum...
COME TO THE SIXTH FLOOR B!TCHEZZ!!!
I think you guys are arguing over semantics here.
Morganfell, you are right to point out that BD is performing far superior to DVDs when it was the same "age".
But what Tuttle means by "take off" is a DRAMATIC uptake in sales. He is referring to the ENTIRE mainstream making a conscious shift to the next format and the naysayers finally facing their perils and completely shutting up.
As you may remember, that didn't happen to DV...
And uploaded to my photobucket.
Feel free to use it, guys.
