BUBBLE for that.
Thank you for actually spelling out this obvious s#!t to the amoebas here.
Word of the day: "DIVERT"
Don't expect a pricecut. Just refer to history and your answers are all staring right back at you.
1) The slim will come out at $399
2) The "fat" will be dropped to $299 (the recent bundles are paving the way for this)
This is how they've ALWAYS done it (i.e. with the PSOne and PS2 Slim). Bring out the Slim as a measure to keep the price the same, then drop the price on the old/fatter version.
PS2 supporting 720p/1080i??
The absolute maximum resolution supported by the PS2 (and original XBox and Gamecube) is 480p through component cables. So, yeah, the Wii came out 6 years after the PS2, but has the same output capacity as the PS2.
That you WEREN'T disappointed by then.
Just so we know where you stand.
Get the game. This game was my first Platinum ever (I got four so far).
That's just a fact. RE5 had no "soul" in it.
OTOH, Dead Space was surprisingly well-polished, especially for a brand-new IP.
Anyone who hasn't played this game should really try it.
The WOHD "epilepsy seizure" delay...
For consumers, obviously we don't like waiting.
But this is even worse news for the developer itself, because if they can't get this game out within the next month, it's going to get trampled all over by all the "AAA" titles coming out, starting with Uncharted 2 in September.
BTW, whoever called this an RTS up there.... games like these aren't really called RTS's. In fact, I don't think these types of games have a name yet. =D
No, Amazon gives you about $10 less in terms of in-your-pocket cash.
Look at any title on that list and give me an example of Amazon giving you more than eBay.
inFamous: $20 ($33-35 on eBay)
Killzone 2: $27.50 ($40 on eBay)
Red Faction: Guerilla: $22 ($40+ on eBay)
MGS4: $14 (lol/cry)
Dead Space: $12.25 (lol/cry)
I mean.. this is nice for people who are simply eBay adverse. But if you really want to get into the in-your-pocket value, th...
Wand support.
Just so that the Devs can start working on the games.

OMG.... the thought of it...
His post was quite succinct IMO. Many believe that Natal is being overrated by the critics, so his following statement makes perfect sense.
"If you thinks critics are underrating Natal, you are an idiot."
(i.e. "the critics are overrating Natal")
But why is it overrated, you ask? Because although the possibilities are indeed impressive, this is far more blue-sky than most anything that I've seen be announced in this industry over the last ...
This "1st, 2nd, 3rd place" business really has to go~
There was a time when PCs used to cost around $2,000+ (if you wanted to play the newest games), and only about 3 million people could afford that type of setup at home. This was the early-to-mid 90s. At that same time, Nintendo had 15 million SNES in the market.
By the current measure of "success", all these "journalists" would have undoubtedly crowned the SNES as the victor of the ...
Somebody up there had it right:
a) You are burnt out
b) Stay away from the internet
But at the end of the day, this is really just about building a tolerance. Like anything else that stimulates and entertains you... things become stale after a while, and it usually requires you to take a break in order to bring your "tolerance" back down to where it used to be.
That said... part of the problem is with the gaming industry having become so...
Agreed.
Honestly, my only concerns are:
1) Lag: Sort it out. We don't need another SOCOM-esque disaster launch.
2) Basic Gameplay: Make the game play RIGHT. I don't need it to be KZ2 quality, but at least get close enough to COD4's level so we don't have to be torn between MW2 and MAG...
... somewhat agreed.
But do not forget that the next Katamari Tamashi is already set for 1080p release. Also Wipeout HD already runs in 1080p (with occasional horizontal upscaling, but still full 1080p for the most part). I'd also list those games from 2007 that were 1080p, but they're sort of weak so I'll let them slide. ;)
Update: 5/27/2009
This is straight from KZ2's latest patch. Thank you Guerilla Games for finally seeing the light and fixing the controls.

"Control-wise, what exactly does the new ‘High Precision’ option do?
When this option is switched on, it makes the analog sticks more responsive to small movements....
As a matter of fact, I don't like videogame-based anime either.
But I'd take an anime-based game over any hollywood-based game, any day.
I'm just excited that Cellius if finally coming out with a game.
Nice try, except ZOE's main character is essentially a Shinji rip-off.
Short term memory is a b1tch, huh?
What about the damn RESOLUTION???
Are you really telling me that the BD version looks the same as the DVD version? Wow.
I used to own the DVD version since it first came out in 2006(5?), and the whole time it was frustrating because the actions scenes would all just BLUR together into some motion-blurred video.
The Blu Ray version is SO MUCH cleaner, and you can see so much more that simply could not be discerned in the DVD version. For example, that p...
