I'm sort of with Digital Foundry on this one, if it was mostly over 50fps when in performance mode it might be worth it but since it is frequently only 10-15fps higher than the "4K" mode, I'd opt for a consistent framerate.
The Last of Us and Grand Theft Auto V are at 95 and 97.
This is revisionist history, God of War 3 was praised as a technical masterpiece when it released.

"One thing is clear: God of War III is phenomenal. It succeeds for a plethora of reasons that go well beyond its beautiful graphics."
"On a purely technical level, it's one of the most impressive games the PS3 has t...
Technically Shadow of the Colossus is a PS2 remaster on PS3 but it is interesting seeing the progress made with emulation.
Looks excellent even on the launch PS4. I remember back in 2013-2014 when some people were trying to downplay the PS4 and claimed that the graphics were already the best we'd get on the platform because it was "made from off the shelf PC parts!"
Who cares, it's a much better game regardless of rendering resolution.
It's the highest rated current-gen game on PS4/Xbox One excluding remasters.
Microsoft is too focused on reliving their glory days and not focused enough on the future with new games.
Shame SEGA decided to have it go up against God of War. I imported the Asian English release last month to avoid this and it's a great game. I hope people are willing to give it a shot after playing God of War.
Can't wait for next Friday.
Red Dead still looks like a 7th gen game because it is a 7th gen game, even if running at 8K.
Wish enhancements weren't X exclusive and that they could at least improve the original Xbox One version to 1080p / better AF. Not buying a $500 to replay an 8 year old game with no new assets.
I'm sure it's just another attempt to block piracy / custom firmware but I don't really care at this point. My PS+ Vita library is so big that I don't have any interest in modifying the system.
Most FreeSync monitors don't support refresh rates below 30Hz so FreeSync on many Xbox games will be pointless.
I own all of the current gen consoles and the Xbox One is the only one that I cannot recommend. Despite the pricing and Kinect issues at launch, MS was actually committed to games in the beginning. First 2-3 years had some good exclusives. Now all the new games play on my PC with higher framerates.
Story was rubbish, Russians that speak English with American accents?
I got the Asian English release last month and already finished the game, it's great.
The PS5 dev kit rumors if at all reliable state that they're using an AMD APU again which means including PS4 backwards compatibility would be trivial.
What seeds? What reason will PS4 owners have to switch to Xbox next gen when all of their PS4 games work on the PS5?
God of War is at 95 now
