This is hilarious.

I actually bought the Chinese localization because it is cheaper but yeah I have to use a guide. The main gameplay though, UI, menus, etc is exactly the same as Yakuza so I only really need translations for cutscenes and substory text basically. Ishin has some of its cutscenes translated online and has other guides and was totally worth the effort.

I'm already playing an imported copy, pretty good so far.

If they only went to 16GB that'd mean that the actual amount of usable RAM would only increase by a little bit because there's no way the PS5 OS will use less RAM than the PS4's. With a GPU that is 3-4x more powerful and a CPU that is 5-10x more powerful, only having 16GB of RAM would shorten the generation immensely. PS2 to PS3 was a 16x jump, PS3 to PS4 was a 16x jump, they're not going to do 2x in 2020.

I don't think these numbers are that bad given the Xbox One's smaller install base and the delayed release.

The game originally released on Dreamcast, only Shenmue 2 was ported to the Xbox.

I agree with you, it's not some big budget remake but simple remasters at $30. It can't possibly make that much money due to the price point and who knows, Shenmue 2 was on Xbox, maybe some Xbox One owners are nostalgic and want to replay it.

Disagree with the video, 16GB of RAM is not enough for a next-gen console when the Xbox One X already has 12GB for running current-gen games. The OS footprint on 9th gen consoles will likely grow beyond 3GB because they will add even more multi-tasking features so I'd expect 24-32GB of RAM with 5-8GB reserved for the OS.

Agreed about Ishin, I imported it and loved it. Currently playing through Hokuto but the guides aren't done yet so it's a bit harder than Ishin was.

Missing Ishin, Kenzan, and other releases. Seems like the author doesn't like the old games as much as the new games.

Is this the guy that wouldn't let Cory Barlog make Tomb Raider one continuous cut like the new God of War?

3010d ago 0 agree1 disagreeView comment

Wish SEGA hadn't decided to push the release date to the same week as God of War. What a huge mistake.

I decided to get the game early from PlayAsia so that it wouldn't be competing with God of War for playtime.

I agree, at the beginning of the gen the PS4 and Xbox One had a lot of 60fps games because games were still being developed around the limitations of the PS3/360 and then ported to the newer consoles. Nothing stopped them from curtailing their graphical ambitions and making games run at 60fps other than their own desire to push the envelope further in terms of visuals. We could get a 20TFLOP console and it'd still have a ton of 30fps games because studios would rather make a game look pho...

I disagree that 6TFLOPs is enough for 4K60, I have an overclocked 1080Ti and 4K60 on the max is not always feasible at twice the power of the Xbox One X. I certainly hope next-gen games don't look like 8th gen games running at 4K, otherwise what's the point?

There are no updates for the English version. All of the previous updates from the Japanese version are rolled into the main game now.

I liked LittleBigPlanet and Tearaway (both versions) so I plan on picking this up whenever it eventually releases.

I was one of the people that waited on the Vita because of those memory card prices but finally picked one up a little over 2 years ago with a 64GB card and have been very happy with it. I was fortunate enough to plan ahead and download every Vita PS+ game using my PS3, so when I got the Vita I already had a huge PS+ library available.

I won't be surprised, the Vita despite being a really neat device has faced a lot of challenges. Sony's announcement that Vita PS+ games will be ending in 2019 I believe to be a sign that its end is near.

"continuing to grow our 1P will take time." The Xbox One is already more than 4 years old, how much more time will it take?

3013d ago 9 agree0 disagreeView comment

It is shocking, it came out almost 4 years ago.

I played through all the campaigns in co-op in 2015 and it was mostly fine by that point but it still wasn't perfect.
