Actually, Plasmas still beat LCD by a fair margin when it comes to response time. LCDs are improving though and are getting to the point that the difference is pretty minimal.
This technology is still at least a decade away from being viable, and the 360 and PS3 will both be long gone once it is.
Yeah, I think the only time Nintendo did not make a profit was with the Virtual Boy or the N64DD. Everything else they've ever done has been successful enough to break even and more.
It is possible that we'll see a 360 rebranding and Duke Nukem Forever, but there is no way PS4 will be at this year's E3. Also, if Duke Nukem Forever is shown at E3, it will have nothing to do with Valve other than potential Steam distribution.
They're successful, but they don't deserve to be called gurus. When I think marketing guru, I think of someone more along the lines of Steve Jobs. Say what you want about the quality of Apple products, but their marketing is unmatched.
The Dreamcast NFL 2K games were so great, and kicked the pants off the Madden installments from the same time period. I wasn't normally a fan of sports games, but playing NFL 2K1 online for the first time was pretty awesome.
You used the word garbage to describe God of War and Halo, but did not when comparing Uncharted and Gears.
Another difference is that Uncharted and Gears are very similar games. While Uncharted does have platforming and puzzle elements that are not present in Gears of War, the combat that makes up the majority of both titles is extremely similar.
The sad thing is that most people don't even know who Gunpei Yokoi was.
The SEGA Genesis was the first "cool/edgy" system, and there were other consoles with CD visualizations that released before the PS1 such as the Atari Jaguar CD. Still, the PS1 did have a huge impact on the game industry.

Sony can probably pull the output resolution settings from every PS3 connected to PSN.
I got my first PS3 when I purchased my first TV with HDMI in 2007, and I wanted a Blu-ray player for my new TV.
The only reason I waited to purchase the PS3 and purchased the 360 first was that my previous HDTV only had component and was only capable of 1080i/480p, which forced some PS3 games that were 720p / 480p only into the lower resolution.
This is not as much of an issue now as I have multiple 1080p displays, and most developers are supporting 1080i on...
The first DLC is free if you purchased a new copy of the game.

I have to agree, even though I enjoyed Killzone 2 quite a bit. Most games suffer from generic-story-syndrome. A few exceptions include Uncharted, Infamous, Alan Wake, Heavy Rain, and Half-Life.
What about the original System Shock, or the 1994 release of Alien vs Predator?
While Half-Life 2 is a fantastic game and one of the best first person shooters ever made, it released the same year as Far Cry, Doom 3, and Unreal Tournament 2004.
This would be a dream come true.
We saw what they could do with the Gamecube using pre-rendered backgrounds. Can you imagine how good the game could look on the PS3 / 360 / PC? It could probably be 1080p on the consoles as well due to the low render load.
It is almost impossible that Crysis 2 will look better than Killzone 3 when only comparing console versions.
Crysis 2 for the PC should be able to surpass the original Crysis graphically, making it the best looking game on any platform, at least when it is with the right hardware configuration.
