Yes it did.
Also, I'm not sure how I'm suppose to replace my Core i5 + Radeon 5650 powered laptop with an iPad.
Poor marketing, single platform, extremely long development cycle. The game itself is great and deserved to do better, but the genre is kind of niche and I guess most Xbox gamers aren't looking for that. I don't think this game would have sold a lot better as a PS3 or PC exclusive, but that it would have done better as a multi-platform title.
I agree tdrules, seeing as they previously put it on the PSP. The only issue is whether or not the PS3 will support Skype with the in-game XMB.
Well sure, in theory Sony could integrate a Ventrilo client into the PS3 XMB if they were able to fit it within the 40MB or so OS memory footprint.
It's the same reason the game is only rendered at 1024x600 on both the PS3 and 360. It's easier to hit 60fps when you're using a sub-HD resolution.
Actually, Alan Wake runs at 960x540, but in that low resolution it pulls off effects that the Wii is still nowhere near capable of rendering.
It's really only a 1GB card though, as SLI does not add the memory of both GPUs together. Everything is mirrored in the memory of both GPUs so it is effectively a 1GB video card.
Current gen consoles shouldn't even be included seeing as the current gen hasn't ended yet.
If you guys want a PC, buy a damn PC.
Actually, the PS2 can output 1080i as well with games like Gran Turismo 4. It doesn't really matter though since neither console was powerful enough to render in a native resolution higher than 480p.
The 3DS might be the final nail in the coffin, but the PSP has been slowly dying for awhile now. Piracy on the PSP has crippled game sales and pushed developers away from the platform.
Based on the 3DS showed at E3, video chat will not be possible in 3D unless using the back camera. The current model only has 1 camera facing the user.
He's been #1 on Xbox Live for years, and I believe he gets all of his games for free.
I never said it was. Now that Sony's first party studios are adopting MLAA, GT5 could easily be native 1920x1080.
Gran Turismo 5: Prologue runs at 60fps always, and in 1080p mode it is rendered at 1280x1080 with 2xAA. The 720p mode is 1280x720 with 4xAA.
802.11n is really only useful for streaming HD video through your wireless network, otherwise 802.11g is more than good enough.
802.11g isn't really fast enough to stream HD video, but with the PS3 you can sort of get around this issue by copying the video file to the hard drive through Wi-Fi, something not currently possible with the 360.
They're still 802.11g, but it's really not that much of an issue. Microsoft is really grasping at straws here when their console uses HDMI 1.2, lacks Bluetooth, and Blu-ray.
If the PSP2 phone ran Android and had an OMAP4440 it could become a seriously badass gaming device. It could run both Apps from the Android market while also supporting device exclusive Playstation games.
Not yet, as I am completely satisfied with my free PSN service. It has been difficult finding free time for any games recently.
Resident Evil on the 3DS looks closer to RE4 than it does RE5.
