I suspect that Crysis 2 will look fantastic on the PC, while only looking "decent" on consoles, as Crytek does not have a lot experience on those platforms. I'm interested in seeing how this looks and runs on my Radeon 5870. If Crysis does a good enough job on the PC version, maybe I'll be able to play it on my Mobility Radeon 5650 equipped laptop as well.

EDIT: @ below
Nvidia is setting a bad precedent by releasing such extremely hot and power hungry cards. The life of these chips will be shorted due to their high operating temperatures, more wear will be put on these power supplies, and people will begin to see an increase in their electricity bill. In an era where "green"...
The 8800GTX that was in my second PC recently died and it made me very sad. I purchased it in 2006 and it was still having no problems playing the newest games on high settings. :(
Why do you need to video cards? I have used SLI before and I do not recommend it unless you're already buying the fastest card out.
It also uses 2x as much power, puts out 2x as much heat, and costs 2x to manufacture due to the low chip yields associated with such a large GPU die.
Edit: Just to clarify, I do not think that the Geforce GTX 480 is bad, it is simply a very hot and power hungry card. It is undeniably the fastest single GPU video card on the market, but it doesn't come without its flaws as previously mentioned. Their tessellation model is in my opinion superior to ATI's Radeon 5000 se...
Yeah, in the past pirated valve games lacked the multi-player component, so on a title like Left 4 Dead there's no point in playing the pirated version.
Also, Valve does not need Playstation, nor does Playstation need Valve. Both companies have survived and for the most part done well without the other for years.
Do they actually sell music on Blu-rays? It would be like an even higher end version of SACD I suppose, but I think that would be kind of excessive as most people couldn't tell the difference between normal CDs and SACDs.
CDs and vinyl are the only ways to buy music.
It's all good man. True 1920x1080 is pretty impressive on its own, seeing as the game originally ran at 1280x1080 in 1080p mode. I think 720p mode was originally with 2xAA, so 4xAA again is a pretty decent upgrade to receive from a free patch.
Where exactly did you get that info? Eurogamer and Beyond3D made no mention of anti-aliasing being enabled in 3D mode, or when running in 1080p.
Actually, I believe it is 1920x1080 with no anti-aliasing in 1080p mode at 60fps, 720p with 4xAA in 720p mode at 60fps, and 720p with no anti-aliasing in 3D mode at 120fps, or 60fps per eye.
Alan Wake is in my opinion one of the most impressive games visually on consoles. It has some fantastic volumetric lighting and every object casts a high-quality dynamic shadow. The only flaws were the resolution and image tearing, both due to hardware limitations of its respective platform. If it was on the PC, it would be one of the best looking games out running at 1920x1080 with 4xAA and vert-sync.
What doesn't piss Kratos off?
I don't know why you got a disagree, because it's true. All flat panel displays upscale anything that is not in the native resolution.
Obviously the 60GB is the best, but the Slim does have the ability to bitstream HD audio codecs like Dolby True HD and DTS Master Audio. It also has a much lower TDP which is an upgrade in some ways.
Too bad the Heat are going to suck without any supporting players. Sure Bosh, Wade, and Lebron are great but without a bench they won't make it past the Celtics or Magic in the playoffs.

Uhh, Uncharted 2 didn't really change at all from the reveal(not that it needed to.

That's true, God of War 3 was a pretty massive improvement thanks to the implementation of MLAA, and the other resources free'd up by using it.
Current gen consoles shouldn't even be included in a list like this, seeing as the current generation is not over yet.
I love how they always say "Pre-Alpha" to imply that the graphics are going to improve massively between now and the final game. Most of the work on the engine is already done at this point, so any changes graphically from here on out will be the result of minor tweaks.
Still, the game looks great and I'm really excited to see how well their implementation of MLAA handles aliasing.
Well, some of the cars aren't as detailed but it uses way more advanced particle effects as well as tessellated water.
