Why am I hearing way more about the star wars characters and the gigantic boobs in sc than the actual game. This is a bad sign for my favorite fighting series. I really hope namco didn't spend all their time focusing on gimmicky crap and forget the core game.
Those giant green things in ngII that intentionally jump off of the screen after attacking you to take advantage of the poor camera so you can't see them are currently pissing me off.

Kind of irrelevant to me. I know I won't even touch mgo until Ive played through the entire single player campaign at least once. There'll probably be another mgo update in the meanwhile anyway.
I also own both, but i haven't played entirely through ngII so I can't say for the later stages, but so far from the stages i've seen ngs is the better looking game. Its more polished has no frame rate issues and has better looking environments.

I'll agree with you on assassin's creed, heavenly sword and the abysmal perfect dark zero. But i'll put bioshock, gears and uncharted up against just about any game from last gen. Most likely mgs4 will fall into that category too. I'd say this gen is going just fine, and will ultimately be better than the ps2/xbox/gamecube gen when its all over with.
Innovative? Not really. Its basically just the boomerang from zelda, except you can take off body parts with it. I dled the ps3 demo, and it basically seemed like a poorly executed gears clone with the boomerang gimmick thrown in.
I'm done with wwII games. I'll stick with COD4

Where is this plethora of shooters on the 360 that can compare to resistance 1? The only 360 exclusive shooter i've played that can stack up to resistance is halo3, and I thought that while halo has the better multiplayer, resistance had a better campaign.
