The style does look creative and really nice. These stills look a lot better than that video that was released a few weeks ago too, thats a good sign.
Yea really, with the type of obscure and unnecessary crap requests this article listed, even if sony did add all of it he'd probably put out another article later on asking why his ps3 can't do his taxes for him or make a perfect espresso.

Yea, true. you figure people who bought the core in the first place aren't that heavy into gaming, so they'll just go pick the game up without reading up on the hd requirement and find out the hard way.
I'll also bet the hd requirement will be in small print on the back of the box, where no one will notice and most of the sales people won't mention it. That really would suck.
lol since when was sc for hc gamers only? Its the most accessible and easiest to learn of the major 3d fighter titles. You don't need to learn complex combos like in virtua fighter or tekken, and you can get away with button mashing unless you play someone really good. Even going back to the dc, sc was the one game most of my non-gamer friends wanted to play, even the girls who never game at all liked it. Poor spin on that one man. I've got a 60gb, but I haven't at any point used more than 20gb of space. I'd wouldn't be surprised if most 20gb owners haven't even had space issues, much less felt the need to go out and buy bigger drives.
Yea, I figured this would happen eventually too, it doesn't effect me either since i already have a 360 hd, and i'm getting sc for my ps3 anyway, but you have to figure those core only owners who wanted this game are pissed.

Bioshock did the story telling better, although the tape mechanic was a little clumsy, since sometimes you'd be listening and wander right into a fight and have to either run away to keep listening or turn it off and go back after. Either that or just stand still every time you find a tape, which would just make it into a little audio only cut scene and defeats the purpose.

Nice to see I'm not the only one who found Drebin annoying. The first Drebin cut scene was especially horrible, it was way too long, and cut off the action right after one of the best parts of the game. After he explains the gun laundering mechanic I just wanted him to stfu already and let me get back to the game.

Sadly there hasn't been a single good next gen soccer game so far. fifa08 was polished, looked great, had smooth online, but had absolutely horrible gameplay. The passing in particular was god awful. PES had basically the same solid gameplay from last gen, with a few minor tweaks, but has horrible online, sub par graphics and the same crap presentation and license issues its always had. Expecting things that should have been out of the box on launch day isn't holding a grudge. All I was saying was that it seems pretty stupid at this point to get all excited that sony finally got their act together and gave us basically last gen online features that ms has had since the original xbox.

What was I missing? In game messaging is huge. The ability to bring up your menu and check for friends, and invite them to games seamless...
I agree w/maximus (but not nick) I own both consoles too, and if anything i lean more towards a sony bias than ms since the ps2 was so great. But even with the 2.4 update live is still better than psn, but to say live is "vastly superior" after 2.4 is just stupid. Before 2.4 maybe, but with this update psn has narrowed the gap considerably.
uhh, I've been ready for a while.. I was ready when I bought my ps3 at launch, and all of the features in the 2.4 update should have been available out of the box.
Yes its great that we're finally getting all this stuff, but lets not act like Sony didn't keep us waiting a year and a half for features that have been standard on their competitor's for years.
I've read articles that say the devs were basically big nvidia supports and optimized the game for those cards. So its pretty much established that nvidia cards are better suited for crysis. Thats probably the difference I guess.
True, but still I love that they had a section of the article devoted to how even an average pc can run the game well. It gives a nice "stfu" to all the console fanboys who usually go on about needing $2000 rigs and $500 video cards everytime a good game comes out for the pc.
For the most part I agree w/your post, but you're selling gow short. Putting it in the same category as heavenly sword makes no sense. Heavenly sword was half assed, and doesn't even belong in the same conversation with dmc ng and gow. I've also played them all and i'd take gow over dmc or ng any day. The combat in ng is better, but thats all. Gow has the edge in everything else, and the gameplay is more varied.
