I hate the current blades layout. And I find the new dashboard to be a great improvement. It looks cleaner, is easier on the eye and is better organized. The only thing I didn't like was the gay little mii rip off thing on the gamercard. That'd be the only thing i'd change.
Why the hell would you care what random strangers think of you?
I've yet to play any star wars game that does the light saber justice. The closest they've come is Jedi knight II, but the dueling in that was pretty weak.
didn't think a star wars game could be so deep story wise? try kotor, it has a better story than 3 of the 6 star wars movies.
the wii version is completely different, and runs on a totally different engine. They probably even have a different team working on it. I wouldn't worry about the game being "gimped" just because theres a wii version in the works.
Whats so bad about what he said? Its true. When I downloaded 2.4 I expected to be able to start earning trophies right away. I was all set to give uncharted a second play through and earn some trophies along the way, now we find out that the only game you can actually earn them from now is super star dust.. some random psn game. If thats not dropping the ball, then what is?
Yea really, I wonder if the sales of that game went up just b/c of trophies. I like the whole achievements/trophies thing, but not enough to buy a game just because of it.
Seems pretty pointless to me. Why would I want to block up a portion of my screen in the middle of a game just to see a friend staring at a cam playing the same game I am when I can talk to him on the mic. I'm happy with the in game xmb and the messaging that sony gave us with the last update. This just seems pointless.
Whatever, its more like this
You tilt the controller left (or any direction) <half second delay> dragon slowly veers in that direction
You tilt the controller down, game misreads it and dragon dashes forward
You pull back on the controller to flip the dragon, game misreads it and dragon again dashes forward yet again
Just give it up man, even the makers of the game themselves admitted the controls were crap and needed to be redone, so they released ...
nope I played lair, and the utterly crap controls ruined what might have been a decent game.
Do you think they installed a patch fixing the horrid controls and allowing for analog controls just for fun? If the controls weren't crap, they wouldn't have come out with the patch. It doesn't take a genius to figure that out.
Motion sensing is only good in small doses. Heavenly sword (as mediocre as it was) was the only game where I actually enjoyed the motion sensing. From the demo folklore also seemed to use it pretty well too. Other than that its felt added on for no reason to otherwise good games (drake, resistance) or just downright annoying (ngs) and in the case of lair, ruined an entire game. As long as sony and ms plan on using their planned motion controls for causal games only, i'm ok with it, but the m...
It takes balls for a dev to put a demo out before a game's release, so I'll give them credit for that. That being said though, I had mild interest in both dark sector and haze, but after playing the pre-release demos of both games I was disappointed and stayed away from both. This will either be really good, or really bad for sk, one more week to find out.
Fifa 08 was garbage. Yes it looked amazing, had all the licenses etc., but the gameplay was just as bad as any other in the series. The tricks system is a joke, the passing was god awful (although they addressed it somewhat in Euro 2008) the players were unbalanced and the ai was mediocre at best. Yea pro evo sucked this year too, but a sucky pro evo is still better than the best fifa has come up with so far.
So is she an actual developer? Or just some model they hire to be the face of the company.
I"m going to have to jump on the ac bashing bandwagon here. MK I usually respect your opinions as much as anyone on this site, but the reasons people dislike ac are far from stupid. To me, even more disappointing than the EXTREMELY repetitive gameplay was the utterly broken combat system and the completely braindead ai. Sorry, but repeatedly pressing x during every fight does not equal a "combo" or a fighting system, and the one hit instant kill counter move is so easy to pull...
Its not really for bragging rights.. I thought achievements were dumb too until I got a 360. Really what they do (at least for me) is make you do things in game that you normally wouldn't, by adding some creative objective based challenge that isn't simply "beat the game" and giving you some incentive. In the end you end up getting a little more fun out doing things you wouldn't ordinarily try.
Using trophies for ps1 and ps2 games would be a total waste. I'd rather have the devs and/or sony spend time on other things for this gen like home features or the actual games themselves. All ps3 games should get trophies eventually though.
I was pretty disappointed in gta4. Its still a good game, it just didn't live up to the hype. San andreas is still the best in the series.
I haven't even gotten to 50% yet in gta4 and I got the game on launch. That said, its going to take a lot more than a new character to get me to buy dlc, there'd have to be a whole new area (staten island would be perfect since it was left out of the original for some reason) and a ton of add ons like new vehicles, new weapons, jet packs, tank...
Ok, since namco has done such a "bad" job, name me one fighting game that looks significantly better than scIV. The only thing this video shows is that
a) its hard to improve on the perfection of the first game(just look at the perfect 10's it got from ign, gamespot etc) and
b) scI was way ahead of its time graphically, and the dreamcast was a sick console.
If you're going to get a dumb blonde, at least get a hot one. Not only is she annoying, she's fugly too. Awesome looking game though.
