Read the reviews. The one in psm is pretty long and in depth. They say stealth isn't required for most of the game. If you want to go in guns blazing and play mgs4 like a fps you can. You can even change the camera to make it a fps if you like.
If they were going to be true to the series, then most of the game would be spent charging up, talking about how powerful you were getting, but not actually fighting until about 7 hours in.
Agreed. Bioshock was a major reason why I bought a 360, and I wasn't let down. Its still the best single player game I've played from this gen. Ps3 owners should not miss this.
lol bladestar to the rescue huh? If only you were so quick to defend ps3 games that got disappointing reviews. Guess theres yet another reason why being a blind fanboy sucks, it makes you look like a total hypocrite sometimes.
Anyway, I've yet to encounter a 3d action game that didn't have at least some camera issues. Even god of war had some. Most reviews say ngII picks up where ngI left off, and will be enjoyed by fans of the first game, and really thats all I needed to hear ...
Yea, same here. I loved the gameplay in all of the mgs games, but in terms of storyline, mgs2 was really bad. It just got way too convoluted for its own good. Still a fun game to play, but the story was crap imo. mgs3 more than made up for it though. It has the best gameplay and a much better story.
I'll admit I didn't read it all, but just skimming through I saw some things I disagree with. First off hs was not a great game. It was above average, but not great. The combat system did some things right (the different stances and counter, the air combos) but it ultimately wasn't as good as the combat in the big three in the action genre (dmc gow and ng). The enemies were bland and repetitive, and with the exception of flying fox the boss fights were a total let down. The motion control arr...
kakoii is that you dear? Did you get the cookies I sent? I hope you've been eating your vegetables.
Love, Mom
Yea, seeing that picture reminded me of how geared up I was for ninja. I was a huge fan of the first tomb raider and thought eidos could do no wrong at that point. Then I played the ninja demo and it was utter crap. At least we had the first Tenchu around the same time to make up for it.
Ea still has madden, while not perfect its a good franchise and a better sports sim than fight night. Fight night is only good vs a friend. The online is laggy and full of cheats, the single player ai was way too uneven, and the career mode left a lot to be desired. It also needed a lot more boxers and rings too.
Nobody puts baby in a corner
Well, i'm relieved. I found 90 mins a bit hard to believe too, but this confirmation is still good to hear.
I agree with the op. Yes, Itagaki talks a lot of trash, and its pretty crass and tasteless on his part to down talk his peers. At the same time though, Itagaki backs it up. Other than god of war, no other action game is on par with ng. Heavenly sword doesn't even belong in the same conversation, and dmc4 while good, was only half of a game played through twice with a different character. Yes he's kind of an a hole in the way he makes his points, but Itagaki is right.
MGS3 is in my top five all time games. I'll also still be getting mgs4 game day one, and will probably love the game overall. That being said though, multiple 90 minute cut scenes is excessive.
When you think about when it came out, mgs was way ahead of its time.
Short list. Perfect dark zero belongs on there, so does blacksite area 51, and turrok.. probably tons of others. No other genre churns out tons of mediocre crap like fps games.
The rpg elements of san andreas would have been a good touch. Getting better at driving/shooting/fighting the more you do it would have been good. but the zombie idea sounds stupid.
The reason american football players wear pads is that back when they didn't wear pads several players would die each year. So it was either outlaw the sport (which was seriously considered) or put the players in pads.
So.. in short, american football without pads = death, rugby without pads = well, rugby. so whats the "gayboy" sport again?
I used the commands occasionally in the first one, mostly to get the teammates to grab cover instead of running head on into swarms of locust. As long as they improve the ai, i'm fine with it. for a game like gears, Better teammate ai > squad commands
I actually agree 100%. The rachel parts in sigma slowed the game down, and were a drag to play. I just kept wanting to get back to playing as ryu. Either way though ng2 will be a day one buy, can't wait. between gta4 mgs4 and ng2 june will be the most fun gaming i've had in a while.
yea, since you can judge that on two screenshots
