Yea I agree with that "flawed" comment being pretty biased. While theres no doubt at all that the current ps3 lineup is pretty weak, the upcomming slate of titles for fall/winter of 07 can match up just fine to the 360's. Of course halo 3 is the heavy hitter, but while bioshock and mass effect look promising, theres no guarantee they'll be killer aps in their own right. I'd say lair, warhawk, socom, heavenly sword and uncharted is a great upcomming linup and can hold its own against...
The more I see of this game, the higher it gets on my "must have" list. I'm starting to want this game even more than mgs4. Has anyone heard anything about a demo in the next couple months?

Yea if theres going to be an upcoming ps3 game to compete with gears of war I think its either going to be mgs4 or killzone (if killzone lives up to that trailer). Heavenly sword seems more like a great but not elite title.

I don't know about you but I'd rather play a great game at 30fps than a piece of crap at 60fps.
Attack of the show would be good if they focused more on gaming and pc stuff, all the celeb crap really slowed the show down the few times I've watched. The female host is annoying too, she's obviously hot as hell (which is why she got the job) but still really annoying.
Who cares whether the 360 can do it or not? And who gives a crap about the opinions of 360 fanboys anyway since like all fanboys they just live to hate the competition. Even if the game got 10's across the board they'd still find something wrong with it.
All that matters is if lair is a great game or not, and right now it looks like it will be. All the other crap is irrelevant.
They'd be idiots not to show some single player footage. This close to the release date you know they have the capacity. They need to impress with the visuals too especially with all the complaining about the graphics in the beta. I expect at least 1 really good high quality single player vid

You make some pretty decent points. I guess I'm more into movies than most gamers. I bought my hd set for movies and sports just as much as for gaming, so the ps3 was perfect for me.
But at the same time you're wrong about the price issues, blue ray discs really aren't that expensive. You mentioned casino royale at $40, but you can pick it up new @ amazon right now for $17. Blue ray discs really aren't that expensive if you shop online. Same thing probably applies to hd dvd too.
Yea a lair demo would be great. They hinted at one being released in July, hopefully this will be it. A heavenly sword demo would be awesome too.

MS did the same thing with the elite. They denied it existed right up until the end so people would still buy the premium and not just wait. This isn't ripping people off, its smart business. Companies are in business to make money, not to be warm and fuzzy to their customers.
This game looks like a perfect fit for the wii. It'll probably be pretty good for what it is.
Hey idiot, war games take place in WAR ZONES. It would make no sense for a WAR game to take place in a field of f'ing daisies or wherever.
