I'd love to see Mass Effect return, but ONLY if it takes place post ME3. IMO there' nothing worse than a prequel because you already know what happens (unless it is coupled with a sequel to the original, much how the next two Metal Gear Solid games are going.).

I love a good old school RPG, but a company as big as Obsidian? Really? The last thing which came close was dungeon siege 3, and that was underwhelming.
