I see no reason to apologize. It was an honest mistake, and one you probably won't make again.

Don't take the criticism to heart. Keep writing.

Actually Evil, SMG2 is essentially finished. Nintendo is just holding it back to prevent it from damaging the sales of NSMBWii, so I'd expect to see it much earlier than holiday 2010. My guess is that it will be released in March, maybe February.

MOM's status is less clear, but given that Nintendo has not been announcing titles much more than a year in advance recently and that Corruption and Trilogy were both released in August, I think it might be released in late summer.

So we finally have confirmation that there is no offline multiplayer.

That's a shame, because if there had been, I would certainly have bought it. However, given the huge number of interesting games being released between now and the end of the year (and the ones that have already been released that I haven't purchased yet), I honestly don't think I'll be able to squeeze this in.

I'm with those who suspect this is a release date announcement. This was posted on Capcom's NA and European sites, so I suspect we'll get official NA and European release dates for Monster Hunter Tri/3 on Monday. Anything more exciting than that will probably be saved for a more high profile venue.

Yes, we are badly in need of an active mod for the Wii section. Flames are almost never deleted, and the Gamer Zone on pro-Wii articles almost always looks like it's the Open Zone. Really, 90% of the comments on this thread are Open Zone material.

I'm ashamed to say it, but I still haven't purchased Little King's Story. That will certainly change once I go back to work.

Absolutely. During a period when I'll have a lot of games to select from and limited resources, it will be the presence or absence of split-screen that 100% resolves whether or not I buy this game. I passed on the Wii version of WaW for that reason. If a game, particularly an FPS can only offer me 5-7 hours of gameplay (since I cannot play online because I'm on dialup), then I will probably pass on it in favor of a game that can offer more.

As with the IGN review posted earlier, this isn't the Wii version.

1UP's review of TW10 for the Wii is here:

This is not the review of the Wii version of the game, so it shouldn't be tagged as "Wii."

The Wii review is here:

Woo, Swords & Soldiers. I've been waiting for that to come out in the states.

I will have to dl it as soon as I can get my Wii online again.

Is there any chance whatsoever this will see release this year?

Probably not, but it would be great if it did.

Nintendo needs a 1st party title to fill the gap between when Wii Sports Resort is released next month and when NSMBWii is released late this year. A September/October release would be perfect, and Nintendo has inexplicably launched titles with less notic before (see: Excitebots).

Still, this game is clearly being dersigned for Japanese release ...

Wait, what?

I know I am just letting myself be baited, but what games are you referring to?

Other than the minor fiasco that is Wii Music, has any game that Nintendo published this generation scored below a 70 on Metacritic? (Maybe New Play Control! Mario Power Tennis.)

And most of their legitimate high profile titles are well above 80.

Even publications that hold Nintendo's new "big tent" strategy in contempt nearly always praise...

I would very much like to read the full text of a review of this game. So far we have had a lot of discussion of scores with vague hints at the content of the reviews.

It really does a disservice to both reviewers and readers to see a vague detached number rather than a comprehensive analysis of the title.

I am honestly still undecided about whether or not to buy The Conduit, and will remain so until I've read at least a handful of reviews and have a more complete un...

I think High Voltage Software are very actively pursuing Rare's inheritance. They want to be seen as the other developer (besides Nintendo's in-house teams)) to watch on the Wii, just as Rare was the other developer on the N64 (meaning they maintained a distinct identy even while owned by Nintendo and created a brand identity that rivaled Nintendo's own in terms of perceived quality).

However, I'm not ready to call HVS the next Rare anymore than I am ready to declare The Conduit ...

As far as I can tell, Edge reviews games based on aesthetics, not gameplay (i.e., "how artistic is this game?" instead of "how fun is this game?"). This helps to explain a lot of these scores.

Excitebots, for example, is hugely fun, but is looks really goofy and disjointed, thus, by their standards it's a bad game.

Meanwhile, Punch-Out!!--which is about on par with 'bots from a gameplay perspective--has a very distinct visual style and good un...

Wooo. I've been waiting for this news for months. Between this, Little King's Story, and Rune Factory, XSeed has been very kind to Wii owners.

6096d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

Fragile was confirmed?

How did I miss this? Do you have a link to the article?

If this is true, it is the best Wii news I have heard in awhile.

Woo, Majora's Mask.

Boo, no Swords and Soldiers yet.

And that pretty much sums up my response.

6107d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

Wow.

I was beginning to think it might be a lost cause like Disaster or (probably) Fatal Frame. This is very good news.

I wonder what the release date will be. Probably October or November.

Now if only XSeed would give us some good news about Fragile.

It drops on Monday. Depending on the stores in your area, you might be able to pick it up Monday or you might have to wait until Tuesday.

Nintendo must've lifted the review embargo early to help build hype for a game that they were confident would get a lot of positive press.
