Ditto.
I would have bought it day one, if I could have afforded to. Instead it joins the ever-growing list of Wii games I need to buy eventually.
Yes, looking forward to Line Attack Heroes also.
When will Nintendo give us more concrete news on that game? It has been months since they've mentioned it.
Please release this in the US, Nintendo, please.
The fact that you insist that a beautiful 10+ hour game should be released at bargain price as a downloadable title pretty much explains why this was released on the Wii and not on the PS3/360.
Yes, please.
Holy wow, Zombies Ate my Neighbors! I didn't think that would ever hit VC. Now we just need a sequel.
Oh god, it's PSXExtreme again.
Why can't they just publish news relevant to Sony products, rather than dredging up the imagined console war. I know they're chasing hits, but Nintendo Everything stinks exclusively to Nintendo news without sinking to these inflammatory lows and they get tons of hits.
I'm betting on Pilot Wings or Star Fox, courtesy of Factor 5. If it were Kid Icarus, I don't think IGN would be so surprised, since they are the ones that have been teasing KI for two years.
I'd love for it to be Earthbound though.
Why make a list like this if you are only going to fill it with games that are staples of ever other top X list?
Why not focus on games that make artistry their first priority. Okami is a good start, but how about Muramasa, Flower, World of Goo, and Braid? How about all of the games with unconventional visual styles rather than just pretty ones? Or how about games that are literally artistic, like de Blob and Drawn to Life? There are so many underappreciated artistic games this g...
Could this be one of those Factor 5 titles that were rumored to be completed before the end of the year?
Good god man, the open zone is. right. over. there. --->
Anyway, not much to say about this game. I have a friend who loved played the original with his wife and daughter. I'm sure the same will be true of this. Not interested personally, though.
I'm thinking:
1. Little King's Story
2. A Boy and His Blob (if the reviews are good)
3. Super Paper Mario (Or maybe Boom Blox Bash Party)
Too bad I didn't wait a couple more weeks to buy Muramasa.
"A Boy and His Blob Oct. 13"
Is this the first time we've received an official release date for this, or did I just miss it? Glad it'll be out so soon.
Xseed, where's Fragile? I was hoping it'd be in North America by Christmas.
It is a real FPS. It is a pretty direct port of Call of Duty 4 with Wii controls and somewhat scaled back multiplayer, similar to the World at War port.
Think this could be one of those two Factor 5 Wii projects rumored to be near completion? I know the popular opinion is that they are working on Pilotwings and (maybe) a new Rogue Squadron, but having a company renowned for their space flight games work on Nintendo's biggest space flight franchise makes considerable sense. Hell, Arwings are basically X-Wings. This seems like a no brainer to me.
(But then again it could be Retro or one of Nintendo's other internal studios.)
I generally don't trust Game Informer, or most magazines, to review Wii games. Perhaps it's because they are working in an old medium (and are thus probably older and more set in their ways), but magazine writers seem particularly hostile to the Wii's new control interface. Game Informer, GamePro and Edge regularly give Wii games much lower scores than online publications, complaining of control problems that no other source mentions.
These IGN reviews of multiplatform games get approved too quickly.
This is the PS3/360 review, yes, but the other versions (PSP, Wii, etc.) will get separate reviews since they contain major differences from the two HD versions of the game. So this should be in the 360/PS3 channels only.
Those release dates are essentially placeholders, since Nintendo has not announced release dates for either title. I would be pretty surprised if you saw three marquee games (NSMBWii, SMG2, and M:OM) released within such a short time frame. Nintendo would be competing without itself and its own titles would be denying each other sales. Not a great business plan.
That's why Nintendo tends to stagger their major first party releases: One in the first quarter, one at the beginning o...
From Wikipedia:
"In Miyamoto's private conference, it was stated that the game is very far along in development, but its release is being held back to 2010 due to New Super Mario Bros. Wii being released in 2009."

That doesn't mean they can't hold it until the holidays, but I'd be surprised if they sat on it for that long.

I hope this mean they are making the game less, rather than more, linear.
I agree that the core structure was getting old, but I'd hate to see Zelda become another highly linear, wants-to-be-a-movie "adventure" game. That would be tragic.
But if they open up the world a bit more, and make the quest order less rigid, that would be very cool.
