Let's talk about the option to buy those PS Now games. Oh wait, that's a streaming service, so somehow that's better than giving the option to download with a mandatory check in.
I agree with this, they should make the check in period longer. I assume that's just Nintendo's lack of technical skill. They probably don't have any defenses for someone changing the clock / date on their Switch.
The slippery slope argument is not an argument at all. They made drinking alcohol illegal while driving. Why not drinking coffee? Slippery slope right?
The fact is whether you can see or not. There is a huge difference between forcing check ins for games you've purchased, and forcing check-ins for games that you have access to via a subscription.
And as the commenter below said, why would someone paying for the Switch Online service complain about having to be...
So much fake outrage for this. How long does Netflix let you watch a video without going online? We're not talking about games you paid for. We're talking about a subscription service. For another comparison, how long can you play your gamepass games without going online?
For the record, I think the 7 day limit is arbitrary and should be longer. But it's also not a be all end all for the games provided with their subscription.
Based on what they've showed us. Yes it does suck. But once they've got some online SNES games, it'll be worth it. At least for me.
@Mr_Writer, They are both subscriptions that provide old games. So then it would be better if they streamed the NES games instead?
Can't play NES games for a week while offline on my Switch? That sucks. How long can I play my Ps2 games offline on my Ps4 via PS Now?
How many days can you play PS Now games while offline?
Wii U had great games, but the console itself was awful, GamePad included.
On the bright side, we can finally play Mario Party online. Now I can steal my friend's stars without getting a knife in my neck.
@Badz, obviously if it can run on the PS3, it can run on the Switch. Anyone who thinks otherwise is delusional. It's also why I'm not surprised Diablo 3 was ported to the Switch.
Not enough droughts in the world for my backlog.
I enjoy a variety of games, but also lack free time, so finishing a game is a rare occurrence for me. Unless it can be beaten in <= 20 hours.
I'll purchase this when it drops to $30 or below.
Mega Gyarados seems way too OP.
Wouldn't surprise me if Pokémon does better.
Agreed, I think Switch will definitely be the best seller this holiday season, but PS4 will probably still have sold more through out the year, since they had better releases year round.
Nope. I know a bunch of people that are buying a Switch for Smash within the next 4 months.
If you think Smash is a children's game, then you've never played it. At least not seriously. Children can play it, sure. But it takes an adult to master it.
Nintendo is behind the times plain and simple. Yes, the check in period should be longer. But again, who buys an online service with the intent on being offline?
