95% of the world's population? Or 95% of the gamer population? There's a big difference there.
I still like it.
I don't think Google is entirely responsible for all these stupid articles. The media is just over hyping and over sensationalizing everything as usual.
I just want xcloud to let me stream (i.e. Remote play) from my Xbox to my switch. This may be wishful thinking.
Did you spend your entire paycheck on Nintendo? Wow.
Does Netflix force you to abandon your existing physical movies? No, it does not. I don't see why this wouldn't be a good secondary option to your physical consoles. Of course, this assumes that 5g is capable and affordable, which is what the 5g articles are saying (1gbps 1ms latency). But no one has mentioned anything about cost yet.
If it performs well and is affordable, I could see using it for online games that I probably wouldn't be playing long term anyway, while co...
It would be nice if collectors editions of games came with a digital code that supported Stadia, just like the platinum version of Blu Rays that also include a digital code. Then you get the best of both worlds.
I doubt it's coincidence that Stadia's initial release is around the same time as 5g's initial rollout. The biggest question will be affordability more so than capability.
If you use the actual Stadia controller, your input lag could potentially be less than with actual hardware since the inputs aren't going to the hardware, they are going directly to the stream. Your input lag would be the same as your actual lag. Current estimates on 5g put latency at less than 1ms. Obviously, we'll have to wait and see how well 5g actually performs, but if it can have consistently low latency combined with affordability, then input lag, video lag, nor audio lag will ...
True, a year isn't overnight.
In a war where everyone else is camping and upgrading their bases.
At the end of the day, we don't know enough about 5G nor this Stadia service to talk about the tech being or not being there.
But it may be soon with 5g expected to drop this year.
In order for this to succeed, 5g has to be amazing and affordable. The fastest way to test the limits of 5g is for millions (billions?) of people to start streaming 4k 60fps games on their phones.
@Imalwaysright
Sure, and if I buy 2 copies of the exact same game, it will cost more than 1 copy of that exact same game. Thank you, captain obvious.
Two bottles of water are not always more expensive than one. But comparing games to a bottle of water is a terrible analogy.
Metroid prime sounds like nausea.
@SuperSonic, I guess you missed the article where Nintendo employees average 80k per year and less than 40 hours per week. Wake up from your day dreams, dude.
Ocarina of time had a great story. Outside of that, I can't think of any other Zelda that had an above average story.
Ditto, I might have to actually check out LBP3. I've only played the first one on PS3.
