In Demons Souls you can exist in human or spirit form with spirit form having 50% of your total HP unless you get a certain ring which will allow your spirit to have about two-thirds of your life but that will only allow you to have one other slot for a different ring. Oh, I almost forgot the game gets harder the more times you die so you better "git gud" or just start again.

In the Dark Souls, you are an undead with infinite lives and there are distinct advantage...

Jim Stirling ( http://www.thejimquisition.... ) gave Zelda BotW a 7/10 which is a good score and he got death threats from some fanatics.

It would be interesting to know if those fanatics actually completed the game.

Did you read the article?

I think the author covered all the plusses and minuses fairly and even compared the game to other Zelda games although he does briefly mention Skyrim which the Switch will be getting some time.

I have played Earthbound and found it to be unusual as far as RPG's go.

To those that liked the game "great", but I found it to be boring preferring SNES games like Final Fantasy 6 (that 3 for those in the US), Secret of Mana, Zelda a Link to the Past etc. Need I go on?

I completed the original game but Flashback 2 was ridiculously hard.

Still, have the original game and it plays fine on my PS3. In fact, all PS1 games will play on a PS3 although you do need a PS2 or an original FAT PS3 to play PS2 games.

I definitely agree that bullet sponge enemies (eg The Division) are no fun to the point where you don't care anymore and quit playing.

With games like the Soules/Borne series, the enemies you face are fair in that they play by the same rules that your avatar does. I know that the jape is "git gud" but everyone who wants to play these games has to at least make an attempt.

The Souls/Borne games do allow you to call NPC's or even online pl...

There is nothing wrong with playing a game on easy if it is a single player game.

If the game has an online component with player versus player then you better "git gud" or just don't play online. 😊

I don't mind a difficulty selection for some games (mainly single player) at the start of the game but having the ability to change the difficulty on the fly is IMHO like having a cheat but then again the only person you are cheating in a single player game is yourself.

BTW. Games like Oblivion and Skyrim do have a difficulty changer in that you can change the difficulty on the fly. I actually found that this was useful in the later stages of the game where you become s...

Sort of like Jesica's "Puff Puff" in Dragon Quest 8 but allot more provocative and deadly. In DQ8 raising Jesica's sex appeal was really a life saver since you may get quite a few powerful enemies on screen at the same time and if they all attacked at once your party could easily be wiped out.

I wonder what the censorship rating for this game will be? I can foresee the SJW's getting really upset over this. 😎

Nope, I don'...

Where in my previous post did I say Windows 7 is superior?

I don't game on my PC since I have a PS4 and a fully backward compatible PS3 (I even have a SNES, N64 and GameCube although they have been gathering dust for years) and I actually don't run a Microsoft Operating system or Microsoft anything software. As for using Steam, I have access to over 5,000 Linux based games and many more thousands if I use Windows compatibility software...

It is pretty easy to "photoshop" a still image and you really have to ask the question "Why would you need to a select a platform?" When games like that are compiled for a specific operating system and platform.

Even WEB based games are written in such a way that query the platform and operating system if they need any assets such as DirectX or OpenGL API's to run.

Even the "A" and "B" buttons on a menu (see pre...

Assuming the XB1x sells one in five XBox consoles (that's what the PS4pros is doing now) the XB1x will still not be selling anywhere near what the PS4pro is currently selling.

I will concede that the XB1x will sell fairly well in the US and the UK but the rest of the world? I very much doubt that.

Currently, the PS4pro is selling one in five PlayStation consoles sold so it may be possible that the XB1x will sell in the same ratio and consider that the current rate of PS4's to XB1s sold is about 2 to 1 the PS4pro will most likely sell much more than the XB1x.

When the XB1x launches (7th November 2017) it is very likely that the XB1s will be selling at $200 to $250 USD possibly with pack-in games as well. To be competitive the PS4s will probably be around the same ...

Do you honestly think the average consumer will care?

Basically, the average consumer will be looking at games and if they prefer the XBox brand then most will opt for the XB1slim since it will play the same games as the XB1x for approximately $250 to $300 USD cheaper with possibly two to three games packed into the price.

Ok so the XB1x can play some games up to 4K but that is not a huge selling point when most people don't have or even see a need to...

You could be right but for one person to do that they would also have to have multiple email accounts since it is very easy for a system administrator to search for an email account and if you get multiple login names associated with that account then you send a please explain and if you don't get a reply within say one to two weeks ban those accounts.

If the system admin has scripts (they are really easy to write) an automated process could b...

Since when did the Wii win the console war?

Yes the Wii sold more than the PS3 and the XBox360 (although not combined) but you also have to remember that the Wii was standard definition only while the PS3 and the XBox360 could output 720p with some games 1080p. Basically, the Wii was in the PS2 and original XBox category (ie. none HD) and we all know which console sold the most out of them.

BTW. High Definition TV's were...
