@BLKxSEPTEMBER

There are much more people that have a PC with much better specs than the XB1x. You also have to consider the fact the XB1x will not be available until the 7th November 2017 (three months away).

Even after the XB1x launches, it will never match the number of gaming PC's that have equal or better specs.

@bluefox755

Oh, my did that hit a nerve even though what you said is true.

Personally, I would rather prefer a decent monitor since this allows you to pretty much play what you want, when you want and not be restricted to what the consensus of all the people living in your household with a common TV.

OK, I will concede that you can have more than one TV and if that TV is a good quality one (ie. expensive) it can double as a monitor.

I have never yet seen in any shop a Microsoft console that is connecte...

@Allsystemgamer and Sam Fisher

The speed of a digital download depends on multiple factors.
1) Network performance
2) Server performance.
3) Your own machine which could be a PC or console.
4) The size of the download file.

As an example say you get a game via digital download that is 50GB in size, you may have to wait for some time for it to be downloaded then it has to be installed and possibly patched which takes ext...

Shouting (see web etiquette) won't get you anywhere and usually gets disagrees by default, so stop using your "Caps Lock" button.

I will agree that Dragons Dogma and especially the Dark Aririsn Add on (you had to repurchase the game) were excellent in many ways especially the battles. The meeting with the "Reaper" on the island was a shock (I was not expecting that). What I did find annoying were the quests which were predominately "go there kill that" or escort missions although there were a few which really did add to the adventure.

All up DD Dark Arisen was a very good game and ...

Well for a company if you are onto a good thing "stick to it".

For Nintendo take a look at the number of Zelda/Link games https://zelda.gamepedia.com... I will even save you the trouble of counting there are 19 and that is main games and not including spin-offs and remakes.

Want to take a look at Mario games

Not that keen on Tales of Berseria (if you like it great) but the others you mentioned I agree.

BTW. I have played the Tales of Berseria demo and it strongly reminds me of Tails of Xilla which IMHO is a good game but it's the only game I have ever played where I actually got RSI and could not game for over three weeks and I play and still do games like the Souls/Borne series.

I mean WTF is a fighting circle which restricts all fighting to a glowing c...

Well if you had a PS3 you can play the original Grandia. You can even play Grandia 2 if you have an original FAT PS3 or a PS2. Of course, if you have a Sega Saturn or Dreamcast or Game Boy Color or PC (Microsoft Windows) then you may be in luck if you have the compatible media.

BTW. Both Microsoft and Sony stated that their respective consoles (XB1 and PS4) would not be backward compatible before they were released and it wasn't till two years later that Microsoft came ...

Well, that is your opinion and you are certainly entitled to that although there are many who would disagree.

You also get some pretty good discounts on games as well which IMHO does cover easily the cost of the PS+ subscription.

There are some pretty good Indies and none AAA games out there and not all AAA games are good especially those with allot of hype (some deserved and many that aren't) it all depends on the genres you like and even within a genre you still should be picky.

I am not that interested in Just Cause 3 and Assassin’s Creed games but many people are, so I would say that the latest PS+ free games are great for those that do love those genres. I will still add those games to my library (not download them) since I do have a son who may be interested.

Of course, not everyone will be pleased with any release of free games for PS+ and even Box Gold it really depends on what genres you like and even within genres players can be picky. At least you do get discounts on selected (many AAA and Indies) games pretty much all through the year.

Of course having a subscription does not mean not keeping an eye out on physical games as well since you can on occasion get cheaper but if you have to have the latest "shiny' on re...

Cloudbuilt is a cross p[latform game not an exclusive.

It does look interesting and sort of reminds me of Gravity Rush which does have leader boards. Basically, you think you have done well in a challenge (ie. Gold) until you look at the world wide leader boards then you realise that you suck. 😉

You are quite correct too many people forget Demon's Souls which can only be played on the PS3 although it is supposed to be playable under emulation (you do need a powerful PC to do this). What many people don't know is that the Demon's Souls servers are still up and people are still playing this game. I put in over 20 hours last week and although I only died a few times it was always my fault when I did.

If you liked the Souls games you may also like the "...

I also like the Souls games but I also like Bloodborne equally. For some reason "From Software" has always scratched my itch for challenging but fair games and it appears that there are many developers that are trying to emulate their type of games with varying degrees of success and some times failure.

I was playing Lords of the Fallen (was a free PS+ game) and I was getting quickly killed by a particular boss which sort of looked like a three legged armored spid...

Be quiet about that you may give Bethesda Game Studios an idea.

Well at least we won't be seeing "Skyrim the Pachinko experience" anytime soon (err maybe). 😉

I have played Oceanhorn on the PS4 and it is sort of Zelederish Windwaker meets Minecraft without the digging and building. In addition, the game has decent smooth graphics with none of this retro pixelation which I personally find annoying.

As far as gameplay goes I rather like Oceanhorn and this is from someone who loves the Souls and Bloodborne games.

BTW. If I want pixelated retro graphics I would go play an NES or SNES game.

If you are comparing high-end PC's back in 2013 then yes I would agree with you but even today most PC's sold today are either mid to high range PC tablets or laptops which still don't meet the performance of the PS4 or the XB1 for the price. Sure a high-end PC with something like an i5 or i7 processor, 16GB and up memory as well as a high-performance motherboard and graphics card will, but you are going to be paying for that.

BTW. A PC gamer will quite happily ...

Saying Skyrim is garbage compared to Zelda BOTW is really asking for disagrees.

I guarantee that more people have played Skyrim to date than people will have played Zelda BOTW in the lifetime of the Switch and the WiiU (effectively dead now). Yes, Skyrim is not perfect but then again no game is except for those people that are blinded by nostalgia or hype.

Note: To date, there have been 19 releases of different Link/Zelda games. How's that for milking...
