The Witcher 3 sex scenes did not leave much to the imagination and IMHO they were surprisingly tasteful. In Australia, the game was rated R18+ when it was released in May 2015 although if the game had been released a year earlier it would have stood a good chance of getting banned.
Let's see:
1. Subscription Services - Do we need another one?
2. Quality Control - eg "Life of Black Tiger' - Horrible game but no one is forcing you to buy it and have you looked at "Steam" lately?
3. Building a Community - Rather subjective.
4. Achievements - WTF and do most people care?
5. Better Free Games - Again Subjective.
Now let's hear "Six things PS4 does better than the XB1".
Yes, we did know a new Halo (ie. 6) is in the pipeline as is Forza and Gears of War.
We are also aware that Cup Head (2D side scroller), Crackdown (action adventure - cartoony) and Sea of Thieves (action adventure - cartoony) will be released in the next few months and they will all be available for Microsoft Windows so you don't need an XBox to play them.
Preference of a controller is subjective and everyone is entitled to their opinion. Of course, people are also entitled to disagree.
It may come as a surprise to you but the PS4 has had voice recognition from inception all you had to do was plug in your mono head phone (came in the box) to your controller. If you purchased a camera it supports face recognition although it is by far simpler to put a password on your account (essential if you have a PS+ account) and login via...
Starting a new generation after only four years is very risky although Nintendo has done exactly that with the Switch and so far it has paid off but the proof of success is two to three years of respectable sales. I pity the WiiU owners who will have some quite good games over the four years period but nothing going forward.
Actually, the biggest competitor to the XB1x will be the XB1s which by November 2017 will be around $200 to $250 USD cheaper and will most likely come ...
You forgot the "powr of da cloud". 😉
Already done that.
Spoken by someone who has no idea of the costs associated with the purchase, setup and running a server.
HINT. It's not free.
Sure there are free to play games although most have micro transactions. There are also demos which are free, but most games have some price associated with them unless you are into piracy.
Even on the PC there are online only games you have to pay a subscription for, notably MMO's. If Microsoft destroyed services such as Steam and GoG (they are trying) how long do you think it would be before you have to pay for a subscription service?
Like it or not...
Most games saves don't approach 10MB per save so you would need over a 1000 individual game saves of 10MB to get to 10GB.
The impression I get from the article is that the author would like to extol the virtues of XBox Gold or maybe the PC running Microsoft Windows but then he would have to explain the similarities.
I have a PS+ subscription (expires Aug 2019) which give me online access if I want it although I have no interest in online multiplayer shooters. I also get free games per month of which maybe I like two to four of those free games a year and I still save money. Coupled with all t...
The game sort of reminds me of Shadowrun although not the game that was on the XBox360 (an FPS loosely based on the Shadowrun series) but on the SNES (fairly easy to play) and the Sega Megadrive (Genisis) which was so much harder but IMHO much more interesting.
Hellblade is basically a fairly linear six to eight-hour game that has auto save but if you applied permadeath to a game like Skyrim or even the Souls/Borne series then not many people would bother playing the game where you could lose (speed running not included) many tens or even hundreds of hours of gameplay.
The problem you find today is many people expect to respawn a few seconds or at the worse minutes after death in the game and don't seem to have the perseveran...
You could liken perma-death to the old arcade games where if you get a "Game Over" you have to start from the beginning.
Many modern games really do baby the player with features like auto and/or timed saves although in the case of Hellblade autosave can be a double edged sword as Jim Sterling https://www.youtube.com/use... found out when he did not light a touch and effectively the gam...
The "K" models indicate that the processor is unlocked and can be overclocked. If you are into overclocking then fine but you have to seriously consider cooling which for most is usually water based although some enthusiasts do take cooling to extremes such as liquid air.
Basically, the Intel processors are faster year on year but the overall performance difference is not that large for a given processor type such as i7 6700 (Skylake), i7 7700 (KabyLake) and now i...
Actually choosing a processor type including memory size and type which in turn dictate the mother board (can be the other way around) depends on what you envision doing with a computer.
If you have to have the latest and most powerful machine just to surf the web and possibly do some word processing then you are only purchasing for bragging rights.
@Timesplitter14
There is nothing wrong with online multiplayer but eventually, players lose interest and the servers get shut down and what you have left with is either a coaster or wasted space on your storage device.
A single player game that does not depend on online servers can be played as long as you have the software, are interested and still have a machine to play it on.
Wait a minute. Bring out the pitchforks and tar this review wasn't a perfect 10/10. 😉
In two to three years 8K (they are out now but expensive) will become the mainstay of screen resolutions especially on screens over 55" although like today's screen resolutions you will still be able to view older content through upscaling techniques in the TV/monitor although different aspect ratios will be viewed with letterboxing which is black bars top and bottom and/or left and right.
Of course, screen software (depends on the display) will allow for stretchin...
GalGun is not banned in Australia but Valkyrie Drive and Criminal Girls are although the games are pretty easy to get from overseas either by digital download or media. Of course, you do take a risk (very minimal) of the game media being confiscated by customs but I think they are more worried about drugs and potentially dangerous foodstuff from entering the country.
