Next we will XB1 gamers requesting Halo and Gears be remastered ... ! ... Oh! Wait! :-)
Pretty much all PS3's will play PS1 games and if you had the original FAT PS3 it will also play PS2 games.
The problem you find when playing a PS1 game is many people have now got a larger screen HDTV and you can really notice the graininess even with smoothing turned on although a few are not bad.
If you have a PS3 that can play PS2 games most look quite good on a large screen HDTV but not as graphically pleasing as a true PS3 game.
It m...
>> Newsflash, 20 million potential owners does not equal 20 million sales of any title on the platform.
Wait a minute why bring common-sense and logic into this discussion? :-)
Personally I'm not fan of FPS's, but that aside what you have said is one of the main reasons I don't like on-line only games be it FPS's or RPG's or any other game that does not have an off-line capability.
Sure on-line only games can be challenging and fun but once those servers are shut-down then the game is useless. Of course for some that is not a problem since they move onto the next "shiny" thing.
While I do agree you really should write down the games you think are better than Titanfall considering it's genres.
That said I personally have no interest in first person shooters although I don't have any issues with first person perspective games. As far as I am concerned a good action RPG will beat an FPS any-day and of course someone who loves FPS's may be disdainful of games that I like, everyone has their own personal preferences in gaming and that is how ...
Well if they don't give a damn about their credibility being shot to pieces along with possible criminal liability when breaking the terms of the the NDA I suppose that's OK.
@Bloodborn
Considering the Souls series let you save anywhere in the game even at the point of dying, having a suspend and resume feature is not really going to help you play the game any better.
@crxss
Depends on how the suspend/resume feature is implemented. If the save is to memory then it will be fast however switching off the power will loose the suspend. This is what I do with my laptop since the machine has a battery and the resume is ...
I definitely liked the Souls series although haven't play DS II yet but I will when I eventually get a PS4 with hopefully a DS II, Bloodborn and possible two RPG's bundle. Now that would keep me happily gaming till sometime in 2016.
Of course throw in Elder Scrolls VI if/when it comes out and if Oblivion and Skyrim are anything to go by I'm good till 2017.
So instead of purchasing exclusives for the PS4 during the lead up to Christmas we purchase cross platform games or games that we like and want instead, when was that a problem?
Also it must be noted that not everyone likes Action/Adventure games which is the genres that Uncharted 4 falls into.
Sure Uncharted 4 can be a system seller but what will mainly sell the PS4 in the lead up to Christmas even if Uncharted 4 was available is by making bundles that appea...
LOL
It appears that if a game is under 10 hours it is too short and if it's over 40 hours it's too long. Sort of "dammed if you do and dammed if you don't".
I would hate to know what some of the reviewers think of games like Skyrim although to be fair I did like Angry Joe's review.
So far in Skyrim I have spent over 130 hours and have hardly touched the main quest much less the Dragonborn and Dawnguard add-ons so I r...
In Demon's Souls and also Dark Souls you normally play with only a few weapon types that suit your build. Sure you may buff them and on occasion you may find some more esoteric weapon which you may decide is going to be your primary weapon providing your stats meet the criteria for using the weapon.
As for story well, all the games made by From Software required you to actually gather information as you are exploring to get an insight into what you are doing and what you ...
While I do agree. Not everyone likes games like that although I do, still there are quite a few games that are now available for the PS4 and will be available soon.
Even though there are multi-platform games for the PS4 and also the XB1 I would still prefer to play them on the PS4 for a variety of reasons.
While I don't have a PS4 just yet I am looking at getting a bundle I like between now and the end of June this year.
I do think Uncharted 4 will be a system seller when it eventually comes out.
Originally Uncharted was scheduled for November 2015 which could produce quite a spike in PS4 sales in the lead up to the Christmas period.
That said do you honestly think that Naughty Dog deliberately went out of their way to delay their product knowing full well that a delay means loss of of sales during the Christmas spending frenzy?
When developing a product ther...
I wasn't going to wait till Uncharted 4 came out anyway before getting a PS4. I think the Action/Adventure and RPG games that are out and will be coming out will be enough to tide me over till Uncharted finally comes out. For me an RPG bundle (hopefully including Boodborne and Dark Souls 2) will be a must buy.
Then again if Elder Scrolls 6 comes out then I won't care if Uncharted is pushed back again.

AMD is making 20 nm APU's for both Microsoft and Sony. See my previous post.
Isn't this old by four months?
AMD will be making 20 nm APU's for both the PS4 and the XB1 so why the is this article touting that it is for the XB1?
The following alternative article is also over 4 month old: http://wccftech.com/amd-dev...
What AMD makes for the XB1 they will also make for the PS4 and the price can drop for both although as the ol...
One of my main reasons for not getting a PS4 just yet is because there were few games available that I really wanted to play and I still had many PS3 games that I was still playing. A backwards compatible PS4 would have been a near to day one purchase but that wasn't to be.
Now I am seeing games that I do want to play on the PS4 so it won't be belong before I get one, preferably with an Action RPG pack-in with say Bloodborn, Dark Souls 2 (have not played it yet), Drag...
There is nothing wrong with a collectors edition (I have one for Dark Souls) however IMHO a strategy guide takes all the fun out of the game. Of course if you only look at the guide as a last resort then I suppose that is OK but I do prefer going to the internet for help but usually as a last resort.
To beat the Souls games all you really have to do is level up with stamina (IMHO) the first priority although this really depends on how you like to build your character.
The problem with levelling when playing on-line is that you do attract PvP invasions and at higher levels you can really get some very powerful invaders.
It can be very interesting in Dark Souls to view the greatest sinners. Basically the top are cheats (not sure how a console player can do...
@johndoe11211
Interesting site. I noticed one "NextBox" which was retailing at US$799.99 to US$1299.99 looks awfully close to Microsoft's logo and console name I think law suites may follow.
