From what I can gather the Kinect is better, however you have to consider how you are actually going to use those devices. Just having the ability to turn on/off or navigate is IMHO not a justification for purchasing the devices.
I can only go on the PS3 camera/microphone and while it did work for the games that were made for it, I found most of those games were very shallow (MHO of course). I have also tried Kinect Sport at one stage and got bored with it very quickly, likew...
Square/Enix used quite allot of FFX IP for FFXIII and both were pretty much on rails until near the end and instead of basic turn base made it fully active but allowed the player to rapidly select specific actions (ie. paradimes) which were conceptionally similar to the "gambit" and "licensing" system of FFXII.
Going back to your roots may work however many gamers look at so called classic games through rose tinted glasses and are usually disappointed on a...
Yes you are quite right but only on a high end PC with a decent graphics card, memory, cpu and monitor all properly integrated of course. Not all that cheap but if you have spent the money then fine.
a cheaper solution would be a PS4 plus a decent 50" plus 4k HDTV (they do up-scale you know), then sit back with your favourite brew handy and enjoy.
BTW. Most people who post on this forum do have a PC of some sort and are well aware of the advantages and d...
I don't have a PS4 yet and prefer to play Action/Adventure and/or RPG's, however what I have read on the game "The Order" it is in the A/A category and is only about 7 to 10 hours long which is the norm for A/A games although from my personal point of view it is far too short since I prefer games that take many 10's of hours to play.
Is The Order a good game? Personally I don't know since I have not played it and from what I can gather it is a good g...
For your interest here is the list of games made by From Software: http://en.wikipedia.org/wik...
Most of the games were made for the PlayStation 1, 2, 3 and 4 however some were made for other platforms as well.
BTW. If there are any people who edit the Wiki please change the AU (Australia) listing to be the same as EU (Europe). In fact since the PS3 games wer...
JRPG's for any computer be it console, handheld or PC normally require a good home market and basically the XB1 has pretty much failed in Japan so most JRPG's will not be made for that console.
This is not to say that the XB1 will never get JRPG's, however I think Microsoft will have to invest in their development if they want them on their console.
BTW. McDonalds do actually sell Fried Chicken usually in a salad or a burger.
@Ryan741
The camera for the PS4 was designed as an add-on (you can't change that in a few hours) and hence it was not included and could never be included in the basic price. As for the XB1 the Kinect was said to be an integral part of the console and hence was included on the price.
What really put off many gamers at the E3 presentation of the XB1 was not only price but the proposed draconian DRM (ie. always on, and phone home). As we know Microsoft did ...
If you have a fairly modern HDTV with multiple HDMI ports just switching on your PS3 (exception the original PS3's which have to be switched manually, usually via the remote) will switch on your HDTV which will in turn will select the particular HDMI port your active PS3 is on.
This will work with multiple HDMI devices so it is possible to have a PS3 and PS4 and even an Xbox hooked up to different HDMI ports of your HDTV. I actually use my HDTV as my switching hub since I...
I have an original PS3 and have found that while you can definitely see the graphical difference between a PS2 game and PS3 game most PS2 games still look fine even on my 55" HDTV compared to PS1 games (very grainy) which all PS3 can play. As far as playability goes there is no difference.
Personally I preferred FF12 to FF10 since IMHO FF12 had a much better story line and combat system (no shifting to a combat arena like all the the other FF games) but IMHO both games a...
Sure the high end PC's do exceed the PS4 and XB1 specs but they are very much in the minority when compared to the number and type of PC's there are in the world.
As for graphics the PS4 and XB1 are aimed at 1080p with an aspect ratio of 15:9 (ie. HDTV) although this is dependent on the developer. PC's on the other hand are dependent on the graphics card, monitor and type of game can obviously output at a much higher resolution but you are going to pay for this.
Basically that is a guideline for the application developers not the operating system. the OS of the PS4 is based on OpendBSD which is basically Unix and because it does not have to run over 200 system processes like a normal Unix system the PS4's OS can easily be run in 1GB of memory.
If an application developer requires over 5GB of memory you can pretty much guess they have some very sloppy programmers.
Any decent developer would make a PC game that wou...
If you were talking about the PS2, P3 and the XB360 I would agree with you, but the architecture for the PS4 and the XB1 is basically PC which has been well known for years.
Unless the developer is programming to the metal all they normally need to do is use the libraries or API's associated with the respective consoles. Of course they still have to know how to program or at the very least use the gaming engine.
In a nutshell game development like any sof...
Actually no BC is one of the reasons I have not got the PS4 yet. Basically I got first editions PS2 and PS3 mainly because they were BC.
One of main reasons for getting a console with BC was the fact that I still had previous games that I was playing or had yet to play.
While it would be rare for me now to play a PS1 (all PS3's can play PS1 disks) game since the output even with smoothing on is fairly grainy although the game-play is the same. On the othe...
Well at least you were warned about the expiry date although I would think the majority of people would not look. This is sort of like agreeing to a eula but more up-front.
The light draws so little current so you would probably only save 2 to 3 minutes of battery life. Turning off vibration defeats the purpose of all Dual Shock controllers but it would conserve battery life by at the least an hour.
Not using the audio could also save battery life although IMHO a good set of wireless headphones + mic are more convenient.
The best solution IMHO is to get a second controller and/or long charging cable which is very cheap and/or ev...
@Concertoine and @BiggerBoss
The light and track pad don't draw that much current which would be 2 to 5 minutes of the total battery life. One of the best solution is to have a battery charger pack handy, a longer charging cable (cheap but defeats the purpose of a wireless controller).
IMHO the best solution (also applies to the PS3 as well) is to have a second controller.
I do agree that a longer life battery should have been put in the ...
While I don't have a PS4 yet (hopefully soon - depends on bundle) you can extend the battery life of the DS4 controllers. See the following URL for more details:

The recommendations are all valid however the best ones are 1) get a second controller and 2) Get either a longer charging cable (s...
While the modded version of Skyrim on a high end PC is graphically better than the vanilla version, the game still pretty much plays the same. To me game-play is more important than photo realistic graphics although they can enhance the game-play.
Note I am not putting down Skyrim in fact IMHO it is one of the best games (still playing) I have played to date.
I would have bubbled you up as "funny" however you did not even put a "/s" (sarcasm) or smiley at the end of your paragraph so I just disagreed with you.
Build yourself a PC and and you can choose your mother board, CPU type, memory, graphics card. hard and/or solid state disks not to mention a decent monitor, power supply, keyboard and mouse.
Buy a PC and you get what it has and if you get one with really good specs then you you are going to pay for it.
BTW before anyone chimes in with "But keyboard and mouse are cheap" I would say you really aren't serious with PC gaming.
